Hard to see anything different happening. We may be five points clear of the bottom three but I'm actually not convinced that any team has played as consistently poorly as we have this season, including Southampton. If it doesn't change, it will catch up with us, if it isn't already. Wolves will start picking up results when they play more teams in the bottom half and I think Palace will probably have enough. Everton could start on -50 points and still find a way out of it.

I used to hate when people just predicted that the three promoted sides would be relegated because I saw it as lazy, but now I can't blame anyone for it. It's really bad for the league if for two years running the three promoted sides go straight back down.

After 9 games, we have a relatively healthy cushion to the relegation zone. Of course it might not be enough, but to say we have been the worst team and we have been the most 'consistently poor' team just doesn't make sense.

It's more likely that you just watch leicester more closely than the other teams.

Hmmm they infinitely look better yesterday with Wharton and Mateta fit

Agreed.

Glasner's insistence on starting Nketiah will be their downfall.

I still have no idea why Nketiah is so highly-rated. Especially when you compare how strong Palace finished last season with Mateta leading the line.

That's true. I unquestionably do.

What I mean is that our performances have been consistently poor and that I don't think the way that we're playing is sustainable. Steve Cooper tried arguing the opposite, but I think we've got more points than our performances deserve. I was obviously very happy with our win against Southampton but for the majority of the time when it was 11 vs 11, they looked better than us.

Eddie is a championship striker at best, he lacks physicality to the extent he was known amongst many  Arsenal fans as Eddie the feather.

They haven't missed many games though, all of which they didn't win until Spurs

Ten Hag gone

I was hoping he'd be there for our 2 games against them. Watch them come out and put a real show against us.

Really thought they'd just keep plodding along with him considering they didn't sack him in the summer or when Tuchel was available.

Not sure who the outstanding candidate(s) is/are.

Probably have a bounce with Ruud and it be Ole 2.0 for 18 months.

Accepted but they haven't really been fit listening to Palace fans and the recent break/sub appearances has been about getting them recharged. Mateta fatigued after Olympics and Wharton still carrying something from the summer/Euro's.

They'll probably get Amorim or Conceicao.

Word seems to be that Amorim will hold for Man City given Hugo Viana going in situ and Pep's timeline looking increasingly short(er).

Good shout. Forgot Viana went there.

Think Pep goes at end of the season? 115 charge decision due Jan/Feb (?), Pep announces to leave at end of the season perhaps?
