A Everton v Wolves draw very handy tonight. Everton’s run of fixtures now is very harsh, so having them below us would be great.

It's a must win for them really given their fixtures coming up. We have a good recent record against Everton though, with three away wins in the last three seasons. Our defence is pish though, so as usual we'll be relying on trying to out score our opponents in all likelihood.

I think that we've done well to get ahead in the manager sack race, especially if West Ham remove Lopetegui. They've missed out on RvN.

Reckon they go Potter though?

Hmm, I dunno. You look at the list of names being floated for the West Ham job and it does feel a little like we're shopping in different markets. I'm positive about van Nistelrooy but I don't think they've particularly "missed out."

Seeing as Karen Brady said recently that Emma Hayes should be considered for premiership vacancies I look forward to her announcement at west ham should Lopetegui leave……more chance of that clown Cooper getting the job.

So not only is Mazraoui refusing to wear the jacket, but his decision has also forced the entire squad (some of whom wanted to wear it) into not wearing it.

This is so much worse than the other two cases with Morsy and Guehi because here someone's archaic religious beliefs are actually being actively forced on others.

Penny hasn’t dropped on Balague that his mate Lopetegui has been shit at two Premier League jobs, he’s just isn’t cut out to manage in the England and that’s before we get to Lopetegui just being a strange bloke

How many points will be enough to survive do we think? 34/35? Which would mean we need 7 more wins or 5/6 plus a few draws. I think we can get more than that with a strong january

Bottom teams are roughly on course with 1 point per game or a bit less, so 38 would almost guarantee us safety this season.

Interesting wording there; he's refused to wear it so the squad have decided not to so he isn't the only one not wearing it. The team decided the following action to be taken, surely very rarely an entire squad all agree on one thing? (minus sacking cooper)

"The team then decided that no players would wear the tracksuit so that Mazraoui would not be the only one seen publicly to be refusing to wear it. The decision was taken a matter of hours before the game on Sunday.

The Athletic has been told that not everyone in the dressing room was happy with this decision."

His is very similar as Morsey surely, due to their beliefs didn't wish to wear it.

Entire ordeal creates more division rather than the inclusivity it's meant to bring.

So they wanted to be supportive of Mazraoui but in the same breath they've shown they can't be supportive of fans who fall into the category for which the jackets/armbands etc are raising awareness of?

I'm not one for pointing fingers but it's becoming very apparent what the issue is here.

These campaigns would be a lot more effective if the narrative wasn’t constantly this person refuses xyz, must be a homephobe and then usually some bigotry about religion hidden in there. They’d be way better off having a bit more exclusivity to the cause even if it was just one person at every club and then frame it in why they’re supporting it.

I don't get this? These players literally cite their religion as the reason they don't want to send a message in support of queer people and the second people then point out that if your religion sees certain people as less than others, they go crying wolf about how it's bigoted?

Sorry but if your religion preaches inequality, then it is backwards.

You can’t be screaming these people have intolerant views, while having intolerant views about people’s religion. You’re just been purely hypocritical.

He wasn't shit at Wolves. He kept us up with a string of 1-0 home wins and we generally looked ok under him after being terrible under Lage.

He's a ***** though who thought he was bigger than the club so he got binned. I'm not sure what West Ham fans were expecting but he's very much a defence first manager. Not the bullshit attacking football they think they're somehow entitled to.
