Note how he only actually gets banned for one Premier League game as well, because one of his games is Bristol City in the cup?

Genuinely, unironically, hope he either does his ACL or is sold in the transfer window.

It's just occurred to me that Robert Huth got the same ban for playing Cock or No Cock on Twitter.

We’ll look back on this and the Danny Ward decision as pivotal moments.

I actually wouldn’t spend a penny this window. Go down for a few years, clear the decks and rip out this god awful board

Obviously they were able to demonstrate some mitigating circumstances and it got reduced from 3 to 2 for violent conduct.

What mitigating circumstances would they have been though? He's gone up and elbowed someone in the back of the head.

If anything, that gets an extra ban on top of the standard 3 if it's done within the 90mins against another player...

I heard it all kicked off a bit at the end with Ipswich's bench again last night too.

Which would have no bearing on the Cunha incident.

FA have fvcked up there and everyone but Wolves' fans knows it.

Sad thing is that The Bear is probably sat at home wailing and gnashing his teeth at the sheer injustice of the FA daring to ban an injured player for a game he wouldn't have played in anyway.

Never mind being capable of staying up, I don't think the Premier League and FA will allow us to stay up.

I'm honestly fine with relegation. I'm not arsed if the EFL slap us with whatever sanction they see fit. I just want us to start running like an ambitious club again that does things the right way. The premier league is becoming more and more a closed shop and who can honestly say they're enjoying it

That's pretty wild, I'm usually on the other side with things like this thinking that bans are insane. But how can that not be at least 3 games for violent conduct? lol

He goes in and elbows the back of the guys head, completely pre-meditated and the guy isn't even aware.

I was expecting 5 games minimum.

What do you lot expect? They’ve been a dodgy agent front for literally 10 years, they just do enough to stay up every year and don’t rock the boat. They’re the perfect boring nothing club for the Premier League to look after, just like Everton.

We’re cooked but at least we got out after so many years. As long as the club doesn’t die I guess it’s Wrexham away for a couple of years until we sort our shit out and start again.

8 years not 10 and nothing particularly dodgy just ultimately ineffective and costly.  Fosun basically wanted to use Gestifute/Mendes to fasttrack success.  Nothing that any other club could not have done.  Then the Chinese govt clamped down on flow of money overseas, Fosun changed to a strategy of balancing the p & l with as little investment as possible, hence our slide back to relegation candidates.

Plus,  as much as we got Nuno, Neves, Moutinho and Patricio, Neto et al, you end up with an ever decreasing pool of players to move around Gestifute associated clubs, so get the flotsam.

If the club is serious about staying in the premier league they will stick their fingers up to PSR and go on and spend over £150 million in January.

Get quite a few talent through the door achieve safety and deal with a points deduction next season.

Atleast we would have a squad capable of giving us a chance.

I can honestly see us going down to league one now the Efl are going to be giving us the biggest sanction in championship history if we go down this year that will relegated us

This is just scaremongering.

We will not go down to League 1 solely off the back off such a big deduction. Even if you think the EFL would want to basically automatically relegate us to League 1 out of spite (which would be completely against the so called purpose of their sustainability rules), what they want to do and will be able to do are different things. There will be lawyers, courts and appeals. Nick De Marco involvement etc.

We might get a deduction that starts us below 0 and this might make it difficult to win the league, get automatically promoted etc. However, if we were to go down, it’ll be because we are still awfully run not due to a deduction.

Incompetence, inconsistency I get but corruption? I don't get it and I said the same when Wolves were on the receiving end of the long sequence of bizarre VAR calls  What's the grand plan? Why would the powers that be want to deliberately advantage / disadvantage either of our two teams.?

In fairness I also don't understand why it is not 3 games. Mind you the FA seem to make these things up as they go along.  Wolves fans know we have been dealt a good hand this time, but still time for our footballing genius chairman Jeff Shi to sell Cunha in January.

There's no corruption, it's purely massive incompetence. As you say, it makes no sense. Every club has their fans that think that everyone including the league and refs hate them though.

Are you seeing a bit of improvement in performances under the new gaffer. Obviously you were gifted 3 points after Ruud decided to play 10 men and no keeper against you.

100% This.  I totally agree. There's a lot more enjoyment playing in the Championship where Teams are more evenly matched.

The big Clubs are hoarding lots of young players just to keep them away from Clubs like us and others.

Two of the "big 6" are currently in the bottom half, Notts Forest are currently 2nd and Boscombe and Bournemouth Athletic are 7th. It's not a "closed shop", we're just shit.

Between the championship and the premier league it is. And yes I'm well aware of how shit we are

It's not so much a closed shop as just incredibly precarious for all but about two or three clubs. Everyone is one bad transfer window, unlucky run with injuries or wrong managerial appointment away from being in our spot. The problem is that we've had all three this season.

Still think that there's still something very dodgy at Forest, regarding their current situation..

They're a serial rule breaking club run by a drug lord.

I agree. I think we need to go full on Forest mode. Splash the cash in Jan on genuine quality that will keep us in the league comfortably for the next 2 seasons. Spend little next season to reset PSR and go again in 26/27. Only issue with that is you need to ensure those you bring in will keep you in the league otherwise relegation finishes you. Very risky given our recent recruitment but if done right can work.

It definitely looks that way but have any of the clubs that have come up over the past couple of years operated particularly cannily in their summer windows? We came up and thought Oliver Skipp for £25m was a good use of resources ffs.

Good in theory, but I do see two problems.

1) Who would want to come when we're 19th and looking doomed?

2) Would you have faith in Rudkin to find gems or just waste money on players like Sean Longstaff?

That's what I'm saying about just starting over. Get rid of Rudkin and whoever else from the current regime and either back RVN or look for a Pearson type appointment (Not Nige himself before the haters pipe up)

The Skipp example you give is a perfect one to show just how out of touch our recruitment team is
