I predict Brighton, Brentford, Forest will all be in trouble in the coming seasons. All will repeat our mistakes in some shape or form.

Atleast we are trend setters lol

Agree. Not sure people understand that this is the case. We are at the bleeding edge of this shit show. Of course, it may be that PSR comes off the rails at some point, but until then it will keep giving those not of royal descent a swift kick in the financials.

But it doesn't make our situation any less painful :(

Imagine if we sacrifice all this and they announce in a few years they're getting rid of PSR.

For a club hailed as so in touch, this is so grim reading

It’s not the clubs fault imo. The whole psr system is grim for fans because the emphasis is all on revenue. Before a generous chairman who knows how little it impacts him on the whole, can afford to keep things reasonable. But now it’s so tied into what a club can do on a pitch that clubs are forced to get as much as they can to stay competitive… particularly as a club Brighton’s size flying too close to the sun

Honestly ticket revenue is such a small part of a football business. I'd actually argue that cheaper tickets might increase revenue in the club shop, food outlets etc. If my ticket was say 200 quid I'd definitely buy more merchandise and probably grab a pie/pint more often. It's shortsighted and quite predictable and largely failed business practices. Mainly the don't care because they know at present with the premier league product, people will more or less pay anything. It's pretty disgusting they won't let you miss more than 5 games especially with the fixtures being changed to stupid days/times often.

West ham make a £57m bid for John Duran. Crazy that bottom half clubs can spend that sort of money on one player

When you get a brand new stadium on the tax payer, it helps the finances

But fair play to them as we would have ****ed it given such an opportunity

Brentford will be just fine in the Prem as long as Thomas Frank's at the helm. It's remarkable how he's kept them up for four seasons now, working with a tight budget and dealing with one of the worst injury records in the league.

Remember all those pundits writing them off when Toney got banned? And they ended up scoring more goals without him.

Forest the most likely of those to go completely tits up. Brighton and Brentford are so data driven and organised, while Forest have just pursued a strategy of buy-buy-buy until it sticks. All it'll take is for them to lose a couple of key players, which they almost certainly will in the summer, and replace them poorly.

Sorry I'm not having that mate, the revenue differences they'd make by charging fans 5% more and increasing ticket revenue in a stadium the size of there's is negligible compared to sponsorships, TV income etc.

Charging the regular man more will not be the reason they pass or fail PSR. Passing and failing will be based on the millions they pay playing staff, coaching staff etc rather than a pricing of tickets.
