The fact we bemoaned how the 3 promoted sides last season were the worst to come up only to then somehow undo them this year is just unbelievable

Do you know what's even worse, it's been a DREADFUL season in this league. Up until March everyone except Liverpool was beatable... and now even they are!

There's still a chance the top 5 could include Forest, Villa and Newcastle.

7 games to go and all the way down to Brentford in 12th still have a chance of conference league europe.

The team in 17th will probably finish on about 40 points, but 40 points won't be what was needed to survive, I can't see Ipswich getting past 23!

Oh and it looks like all 3 relegation spots will be mathamatically decided with 5 games remaining lol

Going to be an awful lot of on the beach football for Sky and TNT to jazz up!

They will just be spaffing about the race for the Champions League and sucking off Notts for some reason, the mighty club on the Trent with the best atmosphere in the entire world.

Top half of the table has been pretty entertaining tbf, I enjoy seeing other clubs, not the usual super league mob competing for European places. Bottom half though, shite, just utter shite.

Should clarify, really enjoyed seeing a 'changing of the guard' but i've found it particularly hard as it's a season where a well organised, well run promoted team could EASILY have finished mid table/top half.

Top 5 now guaranteed Champions League spots apparently, so Forest get to play in the Champions League.

How would that be effected if spurs or Utd won the europa?

7 will be, apparently. Let's hope that doesn't happen. It's dilutes the achievement of reaching the champions league

Be so jammy of them to win it after such a poor league season.

Think that is the most we can have if Villa won the Champions league this season .

How can Southampton be 99.9% probability of relegation?! They are relegated :crylaugh:

0.1 % chance of 3 points deductions?

That win against Man City has probably got them in there, lose that and they would have been in trouble

And us and Ipswich on 100%. Clearly something wrong with the modelling.

Looking at their fixtures they should do it with ease. Even their next three home games alone are Everton, Brentford, Leicester.

Delap has a £30mil relegation release clause and Man City get 20% sell on clause for the next transfer

Ipswich really have got stiffed on that deal

Probably the reason he signed for them and not someone else

if we were more flexible on our criteria then we’d probably be able to sign players for less, lower wages and also move them on

I think the ramifications of the kante release clause have hampered the clubs long term ambitions

The problem with predicting the top 5 is you have no idea what version of the teams 8th to 18th you are going to get on a given day, which a lot of the 3rd to 7th placed teams are playing in the run in.

I’m not sure, I’d say Ipswich were fairly well run and spent a fair amount, only 3 points better than us. I think the gap is huge between the established teams and the promoted teams and growing year on year. The only hope is that one does a Leicester and self sabotages. We went down the wrong time.
