I'm very far from convinced at the Cooper appointment as some of the football his Forest side played was disgusting, but I absolutely maintain we'd have lost tonight under Maresca.

Bad:

First half was SO shit and basically everything I was fearing for the season under Cooper. We looked like we were embarrassed to even be on the same pitch as them.

Soumare as usual looked like he was experiencing the game at about 80% speed, not having for a second he's a better option in midfield than Ricardo, Alves or possibly even Hamza. Hopefully Skipp and another new signing bump him further down the pecking order and he ****s off somewhere.

I wasn't as disappointed by Reid as some but he reminded me an awful lot of Perez i.e. works hard and the occasional nice touch but potentially very frustrating.

Thankfully Bentancur seemed OK but it felt like the injury, understandably, completely killed the game for a good while just when we'd sorted ourselves out.

Good:

Second half immeasurably better, particularly after the goal. Given how one-sided the first half was I think it speaks volumes that by full time we were probably good value for the point. If Vardy had put that chance away on his left foot it would have been a sublime goal up there with any we scored under Enzo or Rodgers. Reminded me of Stoke away in 14/15 where the first half we were crap and then when Cambiasso came on everyone suddenly looked like they believed they could compete.

Everyone's level went up but particularly impressed by Hermansen and Buonanotte (all game), Kristiansen, Winks and Vestergaard, special mention to Fatawu for the assist. Mavididi and McAteer got well involved off the bench but it did feel a lot like we were lacking options to bring on and try to capitalise on our momentum which hopefully changes over the next couple of weeks.

Overall far more optimistic than I was beforehand (and than I would be if the game had played out the other way round) but it is so important we get some good business done before the window closes.

Hasn't he already done enough to deserve a statue on the spot?

I mean, lets be under no illusions. While the second half was better, they should have absolutely mullered us. Stole a point because Solanke rediscovered his pre 4-1 in the end of the covid season form. Need to improve in how we set up from the off drastically.

He should have had one years ago.

Well well well. Unexpected. Need to capitalise on this and win all our remaining games. Easy.

On a serious note that was a helluva point. Well done boys. Well done Cooper.

I'm just imagining the moment in the dressing room at half time when they all looked at each other and as one said.... "Hang on lads, we've forgotten we're playing Spurs!" lollol

Well yeah but you know what our clubs like. Kasper was practically shoved out of the back door without a goodbye

There's no way even our passive fanbase would allow them to not build him a statue or name a stand after him

First half abysmal - too passive, too nervous and let Spurs run rings around us. Ndidi had an absolute shocker. Lucky not to be 5-0 down and better teams would have punished us.

Second half we were the better team and had it not been for that 9 minute pause, I think we'd have won. Love Vardy and the tornado that follows him. Like a totally different team.

Why is Cannon so hated by managers? Really don't get it.

You must have watched a different game! Ndidi was solid

They didn't cave in under the pressure of all those corners in the first half - we would have been 4 or 5 down (including a couple of own goals) 2 seasons ago - all credit to the team - they played as a team. Great vibes, long may it continue.

Bet there are some very big questions being asked in the spurs dressing room. I think we got away with murder after the first half display

Definitely take that after the insipid first 60 mins or so

Fair result in the end

I read this at first as...

Take that! insipid first 60 mins.
