"In the big moments, in the big occasions, Harry Kane always comes up trumps."

Now, I don't know about you, but I'm not sure any of that applies to a friendly against Finland Finland Finland.

...Or is actually true.

I want to see Kane get his sharpness back but yeah haha

Yeah, a fine goalscorer - one of the best in English history - Kane no doubt is, but his scoring record in major tournaments from quarterfinals onward that don't involve penalties leaves...something to be desired.

The strike from Kane felt like a Kane we hadn't seen for England for a while, shifting the ball and just leathering it past the keeper.

Sadly we also saw straight after that we saw the side if Kane where, with Saka in acres of space decides the best option was to shoot from 25 yards and straight at the defenders arse, and the doing the same again when wildly off balance.

An on form Kane is undoubtedly a deadly striker, but his decision making is ****ing horrendous at times.

I'm torn with Kane.

I love players who prioritise club over baubles, it's a complete rarity in the modern era (like Matt Le Conspiracy at Soton).

And yet there's Kane. It was brilliant he stayed with Spurs...despite wanting to leave...and yet I'd loved to have seen a Kane in a side that was good. He must wonder how his life and record could've been.

Certainly a lot easier to watch than Southgate’s football. Lots of forward runners

The passing may not have always been sharp, but we are looking to move it forward faster and play those killer balls.

A lot of the criticism of Kane is over the top. He is a brilliant striker with a brilliant goal scoring record. However this is typical Harry Kane lol

Two good finishes, with a manager that is more expansive in later stages of tournaments his goal record at those games will be better

Sure, but the point still stands.

You have tactics and a style and can clearly see carsley is more attacking than southgate. Southgate was always cautious. Carlsey might not even be manager but it’s clear the style is more watchable
