3 games in, 1 point, overall assessment …

On the whole, I think we’ve been ok. Before the season started, plenty were worried whether we’d be able to even compete. I think we’ve shown enough in the 3 games to get behind, in terms of effort, commitment etc. On cooper, it’s clear he’s never going to win some over. I don’t get not playing Mavididi, Ricardo and starting 3 defensive midfielders today. But I don’t think he’s been too horrendous either. It’ll be interesting to see how we are, once the new signings have fully bedded in and who he goes with from there.

Results have been better than expected but we only play when we're behind and we haven't got enough attacking threat to turn things around. Need to be more positive from the start

We've played 2 decent halves of football.

On the face of it most people outside of the fanbase would expect us to lose to Spurs and Villa and maybe get something away to Fulham.  Though it's not happened quite like that, the points outcome is probably how those on the outside would have seen it going.  We've got our major games to come after the break.  We need to be beating the likes of Everton, Bournemouth (and with the way they've started maybe add Palace) and the other promoted sides.

Now we have a finished squad and an international break to work through there's no excuses for Cooper.  He needs to start playing to win.

Honestly speaking, we needed one more point at this stage. 
 

We need at least 4 from the next 2. I worry if our first win doesn’t come in the next two with Arsenal to follow.

1 point so far is what I expected. Could be more, could be less but we do now need to grab a win in the next 2 games to set us up for the inevitable losses against the big boys. 

 

Cooper, hopefully now knows what we need - faster starts that out teams under pressure - and will know what players can give us that. 
 

Big 2 weeks on the training ground hopefully results in 4 points in our next 2 games.

I felt the players were hamstrung by how we were set up today, so defensive and absolutely no movement from the forward players we did have because Villa could double up on them so easily. Really like the effort the players are putting in. Really dislike how cooper is setting us up, almost blind hope we get to an hour in with limited damage. If that’s the formula for the season it’s going to be excruciating

Start games too slowly. This can't continue, we're constantly playing our best when behind but it's too late. 

 

Why Mavididi doesn't start **** knows. 

 

Playing Ndidi as a CAM when have just sighed one and got Buonanotte too... baffling

 

Desperately need a striker alternative to Vardy, although he's done ok so far

it's been pretty abysmal, and what concerns me most is this tbh:

 

clear signs of a team that just will not attack until it's too late really. basically create nothing while the game is level, neither taking many shots nor creating particularly good chances.

I think we’ve lost two points. Fulham and today we should have got two points in my opinion. 
 

We’ve played okay, but I think poor decisions by Cooper are costing us. I don’t think he’s learning quick enough.

We've got the players to keep us up but he hasn't got the starting lineup right once yet. Mavididi, Buonanotte and Ricky should be starting. We are far too negative.

This season is going to be beyond hard as it is and we need points. We need to stop showing teams so much respect and just go for it. I'd rather get relegated having thrown the bus at it than go down anyway with a whimper.

We've got better as the season has progressed. There are some encouraging signs but overall we aren't creating enough high quality chances. However, we've just signed a highly creative player and think there are huge signs for potential.

 

Next 7 games might define the season.

Results are what we expected, just 1 point from a possible 9

Well we’ve got one point from three games so I’m saying that’s about what I expected. Extrapolated over a season that’s about 12-13 points. We will of course get more than this, but only by a handful.

 

in short, we are garbage and are heading down. Ten minute spells here and there where we dare to venture forward will not solve anything. 
 

Whilst Cooper is in charge, we have absolutely zero chance

Seen it before, passive and give the other team the initiative early on. Villa didn’t look half as good when we put them on the back foot. Need to have a go at teams at home.

It’s a tricky start in terms of fixtures. 
 

Watching the games, each one was there for the taking. Promising signs but we need to convert a win soon.

Reminds me of the return under Pearson so far. Never battered and always in games. But not creating enough. Need to obviously put points on the board in the next couple of games but we have had a tough first 3 matches.

Squad is in now and hopefully can settle down and get to work in the break ready to go to Palace and get 3 points.

We're fighting, it's something I can get behind.

 

I'm quite alright with being the underdog and having to fight, infact i'd rather it be that way.

 

We're gonna be up against it, we always were going to be, whether it was so called "pretty" possession based or abit more industrial.

 

We're talking hypothetically but I reckon we'd have been worse off under Enzo than we currently are, I don't think we'd have got the draw against Tottenham and I think we'd have shipped alot more goal through trying to "play out".

What worries me, is Forest fans said he struggles to get the balance of the team right and this ultimately cost him his job. And it just seems he is still struggling now.

Against both Spurs and today once we actually started going for them (and had some creativity on the pitch) we looked good and at times had them rattled

to be fair we haven’t been played off the park. It’s always going to be a tough season. We’ve just got to be the 4th shittest and we stay up.
