this is where the timing charts are important:

The little red card I've drawn on is where Phillips gets sent off. You look at that, we create 2 good chances against ten men but barely anything of note for the previously 77 minutes. You cannot rely on opponents getting sent off and having the man advantage as a creative strategy.

Opposition errors are always part of a team's success. Be it poor marking, a silly penalty, surrendering possession or getting a man sent off.

A large part of what gave them the edge over us was the way they bullied us in the 50-50s, but they went too far with it in the end. As such, they didn't deserve to win, and we rightly got a point.

Still done well though, ah.

Or maybe we should be passing it about at the back, where we'd have no chance of scoring. People would love fawning over that.

at home to Forest we had one shot on target and that was the goal, not exactly entertaining

Don't get this. We had 3 decent shots on target in the first 20 minutes.

Scoring goals generally hasn't been a problem in the last few years. We've always had enough quality players to produce.

Not denying it.

Although people thought Rodgers and passing round at the back was entertaining so it's horses for courses.

Happy with a point but that display was terrible again.

They don't seem to have any idea what they're doing.

I'm very much Cooper out and McKenna has had some good stuff said about him , but I think he mucked up today as Phillips should have been subbed much earlier.

He probably should have seen red for the challenge on Facundo.

Poor management imo

Pushing on and fighting for a goal or result when we've been up against it has though, which seems different this year.

Besides, the fact people are/were piss and moan about our lack of creation, or concerns of 'where the goals are gonna come from', say otherwise.

Then of course you had the snobbery (that never astounds me) towards Ayew, who seems to have been quite an important signing so far.

Jordan Ayew ole ole

I sneered when he signed but hes proving useful.  Not elite but if he keeps knocking in equalisers and winners no complaints here.

Jordan ayew ole ole indeed 👍

Key thing for me is we haven't lost to anyone below us, beat one and one still to play. We will need to nick a few results from some of the tougher games we have to play. But we've accumulated a decent number of points so far.

After the red card Ipswich were down to 11 men !

There were more follow through’s than curry night at Wetherspoons, he missed the lot apart from Phillips 2nd card. Absolute homer, gave them everything.

This. The problem is at the back but we're not the only ones facing defensive issues. I don't think the modern defenders are intelligent enough to operate as a proper defensive unit. Even top rated teams in Europe have major issues at the back.

A little exaggerated,  but basically correct.

Absolutely spot on

Unless anyone weirdly thinks the Ipswich red card was not justified, then hard to see how we did not deserve anything from that game. They royally messed up that game, but they did not concede an own goal. Ugly ass performance though.

Because they're masters of their own downfall, playing in a nonsense way, but apparently it's 'sustainable'.

Ayew is a good experienced PL player. He showed that with his goals this year. Gets in good positions and calmly finishes. Not the most exciting but that experience could be key this year.

Another poor game. We can’t keep getting lucky

We weren't lucky. It was a good PL game that could've gone either way.

Sometimes the opposition justbscire a good goal out of nothing and they did. But they weren't good enough to hang on. They panicked. We didn't

The comments about the lack of creativity are more to do with the set up than the individuals.
