Very very lucky not to get creamed by West ham, let alone win and a wonderful shithouse against Brighton but RvN will not keep this lot up.

Will need a sensational January window which he deserves given the shit he's stepped into but he is proving to be about as useful as Cooper:plancque:

Garbage. Convinced if our fans picked the team and tactics today and we would have put up a better fight. Danny Ward in goal. Buonanotte coming on for the last 10 minutes in a game that is practically lost? Won't be long until he loses the dressing room.

I think he's already lost it. Look at the body language of Winks earlier. And Vesty being subbed wreaks of him having words at half time

Well, the honeymoon period didn’t last long did it.

That isn’t even a slight or criticism of RVN.

100% on the players, go and manage yourselves. Every single ****ing one of you.

He's got to change his tactics with this squad. The players are not good enough for what he wants them to do

He needs to establish some tactics before he changes them! Just like the early Cooper days you can see the players are utterly lost. After the subs on 53 mins you could see the players had no idea what system we were playing. It's baffling. The standard in this league is so high and we keep appointing people without a single clue.

first mark against him, not gonna hold Newcastle with no fit midfielders against him. selection was obviously wrong, a layewbility on the right and a man who'd drop the nails if he was being crucified in goal rather than Facundo and anyone else. that said, he needs a window to at least try and fix the mess of a squad Cooper gave him with Skipp, Ayew and BDCR, and no replacement for Kristensen

Newcastle was a disgrace. Can’t believe people defend it. Where’s all the XG stats that you used to use against Cooper? The last two performances have been the worse of the season.

Two things stand out for me and he is solely responsible. His team selection and his substitutions. Neither made any sense and the outcome was entirely predictable, not so much the score, but a home defeat had a certain inevitability about it from the minute the team was announced.

Might as well have cooper in charge, nothing has changed

Yep, so maybe the problem isn't who is in the dugout, it's who is on the pitch. Been watching us since Brian Little was in charge and I honestly can't remember a bunch of players who try less than this lot.

Was 07/08 the last time we had 3 permanent managers in 1 season?

I honestly could see it going that way this season…

He walked out on PSV didn't he? Can see him walking if we lose the next three and he gets no assurances about transfers.

A manager's job is to inspire his players. You could argue that Cooper had them fighting better.

Wonder how much of the initial positive response on here was down to him being better looking and coming across more confidently than Cooper.

Today was dreadful, and I can't see the next 3 games being anything toher than us getting battered. I think it's the three promoted teams going straight back down.

Newcastle was a disgrace but he didn't really have a squad to pick from did he?

since Ruud took over our xGA is 18th, xG is 12th and xPts is 14th. it is, miraculously, better than cooper (who was bottom 2 on all of those) which tells you how bad that lord of the rings reject was

Tactically that was shit all game the team picked in the first place was absolute dross. Then the idiot changed it second half to be even more passive than the first half. To have Ayew on nearly all game and him do absolutely f**k all just takes the piss. Then to leave Vardy up top on his own all game just seems crazy.

Honesty I just don’t think it matters who’s in charge, I agree

We need to move to two up top. The wingers are no good for us. We're relying on Vardy to produce magic and it's not fair on him.

Ruud needs a completely new formation and he seems to be sticking to what Cooper left behind
