Bad as Cooper  was at least he  worked out that Vestergaard wasn't good enough yet RVN  keeps picking him week after week

Helps when big Jan has a line straight into the hierarchy

I don't think they will sack him.

Whilst the club is being owned by a spinless child not wanting to upset his best mate Rudkin.

Who in turn is the ring leader of the rest of the incompetent board members, that over a number of years have all contributed in landing us in this mess and with no accountability or accepting responsibility.

Sacking RVN so quickly after Cooper just hi-lights their incompetence further in actually appointing them both, and non of clowns wants to publish, acknowledge or hi-light those fact to the world.

The hi-profile sacking on Sky Sports of RVN is not the he publicity they want. They want to continue under the radar as much as possible hiding their mismanagement of the club like they have been doing so for a number of years.

They won’t sack him because the appointment was heavily backed by Aiyawatt himself

Think RVN will walk once the window has closed and if he can claim a lack of backing and broken promises he will probably be able to leave with a level of dignity and his reputation not in tatters, if he stays on and we take another couple of heavy beatings then his reputation could well take a battering.

Suspect the literal question in his head is about salvaging his reputation

Cooper was a genius. He got himself sacked after just four months, made millions in the process, and is enjoying tuning into LCFC matches with a cold one in one hand a bank statement in the other.

Got massive question marks over himself based on performances, but you have to sympathise with the guy. Was surely made Jan window assurances and once again we've over promised and under delivered. Not sure any of us could blame him (or maybe even care) if he walked.

Wouldn't look good walking out after the window though.

Maybe he was promised something and hasn't had it, maybe not, but it's not like we'll have promised a boatload of money. Everyone knows Jan is rubbish window. Quitting on us now would reflect poorly, especially when you consider there's a good argument we've got worse under him.

Why would anyone walk away from a contract in the PL? He sees it out until they sack him. Then in his next interview he can talk about how he wasnt backed....

Disagree, it’s his only chance to leave with a semblance of his reputation still intact( just about).3 or 4 more defeats on the bounce which is more than likely with our shower of crap and his managerial career is effectively over.

If he is sacked part of his severance package will include a non disclosure agreement meaning nothing will come out.

He can still discuss to possible new employers what contributed to the poor performance at his last club.

Id agree with this if it wasn't quite as bad as it is. The capitulations away from home and the terrible results at home continuing will mean he won't get that next interview.

Didn't affect Rooney until two total capitulations at Brum & Pompey. He will be in the last chance saloon whether walks or is sacked.

It's a bit different from Rooney in terms of his stock was higher. He was linked with West Ham before us, and although I don't think they'd have took the risk - he was easily on for a fairly big European club after his stint at Man United.

RVN could quite easily get a similar job to the ones Rooney got. But that would be a huge step back to go from getting a Premier League job to just being a big name at a championship club.

I bet he's wondering what the **** Enzo was playing at recommending us.

Exactly, this isn’t the 80’s. When was the last time a manager resigned from a PL job? It just doesn’t happen these days

I think he’ll stay and walk at the end of the season.  Everyone can see the squad is dogshit and our best players are injured.  When he goes down he can use that as an excuse then along with no backing/Rudkin etc.

If he leaves he’ll get a reputation of being difficult to work with and having no fight.  That will last longer than getting relegated with a donkey sanctuary.

Guess it depends how much he wants the hassle, only 14 games to go and he’ll be free of this shambles. Got to be pretty demoralising working with a team of limited talent but limitless egos and a board who were never going to give him a proper chance. That said he is probably a bit out of his depth and the lack of a back room team he trusts can’t be easy. Another masterclass from LCFC.
