The Dutchman has got to go. He clearly can't hack it in the PL so why give him a chance in the Championship when the objective is to get back in the Premier League.

Surely it's better to get someone in now or at least 'from June' so we can plan properly.

I agree he has to go but the choice right now is limited. Clubs do not want to part with successful managers this late in the season.  Maybe the options would be better and wider in the summer?

Literally no point in trying to appoint a new manager now, for the reasons you cite. Very few quality candidates available.

I’m sorry but this seems to crop up on here with those comments ignoring that the rot started under Cooper, he lost 4 of his last 5.

With the other result being against a 10 man Ipswich.

The players downed tools and weren’t having Cooper, I know that’s a whole different story.

Cooper from day one was a horrible appointment, like RVN also has been.

That “rot” in the league games accrued 4 points in his last 5 games.

7 points if you go back 6 games

Which the same amount it’s taken RVN 14 games, soon to be 15 games to get

Any well run club would be looking now a the direction it needs to go. Apart from the much needed financial side of things this has been a sobering and frankly painful season. We need quite a big rebuild and for me a whole restructuring of the football side from youth team to first 11.  I'm not well enough informed to know who that might be but what we don't want is a stop gap manager just to get us back up but one with a wide philosophy that starts with decent discipline and raising of standards all the way through the club.

Above all we need an owner to get a grip of the club and to stop fantasizing about us playing like Man City.  Perhaps start with trying to win the fans over with simple entertainment and players that actually look like they want to be here and actually look like they are trying.

We’re effectively playing the style this club was “built” for and we’ve been totally disastrous since. He took a side bottom of championship and built the foundations for a side now likely to make champions league, he clearly not a crap manager.

They won none of his last 13 games with the foundations of a champions league squad.

He’s a crap PL manager - fine, he’s a decent championship one.

Surprised he has not made any changes to the team

Shows he is happy with what he is seeing... I know the team are useless, but accepting the performances our players put in last week without a single person dropped shows a serious lack of management

I put the below in the match thread, probably more suited to this thread. I am so cheesed off with this muppet I`ll copy here as well lol

-----------------------------

I cant recall every being a supporter of my club and looked at a manager as being as clueless and stubborn as RVN.

It may sound obvious with the amount of losses we have suffered, but his team selections have largely been questionable,  his tactics being obvious and the fact that he refuses to blood any of our youngsters whilst United start with one youth and have a further 6 on the bench. If this idiot is not blooding them in now he never will.

Get him out and lts get a forward thinking manager in for next season

“At the moment, Leicester City is playing a brand of going nowhere football.”.  Commentator.

Quite right.

RVN is really bad, as it turns out.  Much worst than Cooper.

We were always somewhere in the game with Cooper.

I remember Cooper’s Forest were always threatening.

RVN’s Leicester is absolutely trash with no idea how to even attack a goal. Relying on Justin to attack as a winger?

Agree. Cooper, while not the best, was way better than RVN and this current display.

In 15 years under KP we’ve appointed a manger employed by another club TWICE and one of them was Pearson.

Just pure laziness, never have we appointed a manager that hasn’t already worked in England. It’s completely myopic.

Yep. Worst of all, the RvN appointment wouldn't have happened in the summer - not because of his lack of quality, but because he wasn't recently involved in the PL. We've become the exact opposite of what we used to be under Pearson, a forward thinking club with a clear plan, recruitment where attitude was as important as ability. Now we're a bunch of dinosaurs off the pitch, and an arrogant and unlikeable team on it.
