We conceded 31 shots and 3 big chances against West Ham, it was 16 shots and 0 big chances for Brighton today. Their first goal was a worldie, the second one we maybe could have done better, but Minteh does brilliantly for it.

 

Evan Ferguson, Mitoma, Rutter and Joao Pedro were all relatively quiet.

 

The structure is night and day better than under Cooper, and Ruud has only been here for 8 days. With a whole week before Newcastle, there's so much more to come. He's doing an excellent job.

Take a point from that game all day long. McAteer and Ayew should never be starting. Kasey can't beat his man and Ayew is practically walking or jogging. The game swung with the substitutions, and if the game had another 5 minutes, we could have ended up winning.

 

Great point against a great side who will be among the European places come May.

next game we should have winks and buonanotte available which will bolster options.

Ayew couldn't even be arsed to walk around the corner flag when he came off earlier.

In Ruud we trust - he will suss the dead wood out very quickly and they won’t get a look in - ayews days could be numbered - faes definitely already sussed- skipp won’t get anywhere near the side after January - nor eduard - mcateer won’t last long either if he plays like that

Not sure i agree with this desire to to cast players out. Ayew has done some decent jobs for us but was poor today. But i still think there will be days (mostly as an impact sub) where he shows up and does a job for us - he is definitely a 'moment' player. Skipp grew into the game for me and was ok towards the end (although a way off being good). He is young and has talent - a good coach will help him, not 'suss' him. Faes has played a lot of football for us. I think a few games on the bench isn't a bad thing and Coady / Vesty have looked good, but i don't think those 2 play every game from here on. Faes will still get starts i am sure and a bit of a reset for him will do good.

how do you think we'd have fared under Cooper today?

 

its hard to not deny we are starting to look alot more organised and structed on the pitch now, makes me sad Abdul is out, cos he could have shone under RVN this season

Cracked me up when I saw that, there's being slow but that was some next level effort to avoid having to move more than the necessary amount lol
