In fairness, Facundo was pretty awful last time out. I imagine he'll be on off the bench, will hopefully be back to his old self and then he'll start next time.

Crazy to say that. He has been the best player for us this season. One game and you say that. So off game and he is dropped?

It isn’t a choice of Cartwright or Alves on the bench in this scenario

Alves’ competition is Facundo/Reid/Ayew

Yeah, Cartwright is a CM, Alves a winger. Definitely the right decision based on squad depth.

Expecting Alves to get minutes against QPR.

tbf youd expect least 4/5 U21 to be given a chance against QPR

Is Alves even playing that well for the U21s? Never really seen his name come up outside of FoxesTalkers who think he's the reincarnated Stanley Matthews.

That is a cooper team !

RvN and Cooper both have the misfortune of having to pick from the same squad.

In this case one that is also decimated by injuries

He's not been playing for the U21s. He's been in limbo between our youth team and the first team and has been playing in neither games.

The club clearly consider him to be too good for youth football though.

I dont really care if Hamza is good enough for the Prem.Just want him to do a job while Ndidi, Winks and Soumare are out. His only job today is to close down like a terrier, play it simple and not get sent off in thr first 70mins

Hopefully hes been drilled in that way.

Bilal, Mavi, Vardy and McAteer running at Burn and Schar gives us a chance. I fancy McAteer v Hall who has lead boots. Also Mavi v Livramento and Vardy v Burn. I expect one of Schar or Burn not to finish the game either through injury or cards.

What do you mean too good for youth football? Got to be better than nothing?

Also, if we need reinforcements in any area of the team we are covered on the bench for all positions.  Were Alves to be included over Cartwright then we would have no cover for DM.

Love it …!

Cooper does that and it’s ‘clown ball’, ‘clueless’, ‘coward’ and ‘weak mentality’

He’s not starting our best player!!!

Never said this about Cooper, he was just generally shit.

Probably but they seem to not be using him in youth games in case an injury comes up and he's needed in the first team.

McAteer will get eaten alive today. Gordon/Joelinton and Livramento/Hall down his flank, with Tonali/Guimaraes playing them in.

Scary too, that Justin will be asked to hold that side up. Could be a long afternoon.

Neil: But you cant complete it.
Jay: err, I know, But I got so good at it they offered me a role in the England set-up.
Neil: Did they?
Jay: I took Woking from the conference to the champions league in 6 seasons, that kind of stuff doesnt go unnoticed.
