I imagine he'll be on off the bench, will hopefully be back to his old self and then he'll start next time. Crazy to say that. He has been the best player for us this season. One game and you say that. So off game and he is dropped?

Definitely the right decision based on squad depth. Expecting Alves to get minutes against QPR. 1

AKCJ Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 Is Alves even playing that well for the U21s? Never really seen his name come up outside of FoxesTalkers who think he's the reincarnated Stanley Matthews.

He's been in limbo between our youth team and the first team and has been playing in neither games. The club clearly consider him to be too good for youth football though.

FosseSpark Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 I dont really care if Hamza is good enough for the Prem.Just want him to do a job while Ndidi, Winks and Soumare are out. His only job today is to close down like a terrier, play it simple and not get sent off in thr first 70mins Hopefully hes been drilled in that way. Bilal, Mavi, Vardy and McAteer running at Burn and Schar gives us a chance. I fancy McAteer v Hall who has lead boots. Also Mavi v Livramento and Vardy v Burn. I expect one of Schar or Burn not to finish the game either through injury or cards. 2

What do you mean too good for youth football? Got to be better than nothing?

Were Alves to be included over Cartwright then we would have no cover for DM. Edited 14 December 2024 by deep blue Spelling

HitchinFox Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 (edited) McAteer will get eaten alive today. Gordon/Joelinton and Livramento/Hall down his flank, with Tonali/Guimaraes playing them in. Scary too, that Justin will be asked to hold that side up. Could be a long afternoon. Edited 14 December 2024 by HitchinFox
StevieH Posted 14 December 2024 Posted 14 December 2024 Worried about Isak and Gordon. Can't see us coping with the pace they have. Worried this could be a thumping.
