Will be lucky to get 3 points today. Anything less and it's game over and relegation for me. The three that came up will go down. Just don't have the quality and relying on a 38 year old Vardy just about sums it up.

Imagine if the players had those attitudes sod the other 21 games lads we are knackered, time to clock off.

rather it wasnt that close thanks

dont think we'll see Mav start, suspect it will be Mcateer on the right with Bilal on the right, sort of like the west ham game

with Winks and Soumare in the middle

Playing 2 on the right with nobody on the left sounds very... Steve Cooper.

It all comes down to Danny Ward.

If he’s not playing we win. If he’s starting we lose.

If you’re Ruud, you bring in Jakub surely? Yes he’s been out with an injury and only played one game with the u21s…. But Ward hadn’t played for us for over a year and when he had it was catastrophic. Lazy managers looking at his international record IMO. Although didn’t he fcuk it up for Wales on his last appearance too?

It’ll be very tight if we don’t get 3 points today, and I think considering how much we bottled it in 22/23 has lost a lot of faith with our fan base

I get all of that, and today is a huge opportunity to put breathing space between us and the bottom 3. Losing to a relegation rival at home is a game that could and probably will define where you finish come the end of the season.

But losing today doesn’t mean certain relegation, it’s just people being melodramatic

Why is Iverson not an option? Certainly better than Ward and no questions about his fitness, if not sharpness.

Yeah but look at Everton at KP the season we went down. Madders penalty gift wrapped to Pickford sent us down.

Today is massive don’t get me wrong, but the amount of people saying we’re down if we lose today is just bizarre. We’re not even half way through the season yet. If we were Southampton marooned on 5 points then fair enough, but we’re bunched up in between teams equally as poor as us. Lots of twists and turns to go

Don't win today, then I really don't see where we get enough points to survive.

We only play Southampton once more.

Think will need more than 6 points

It’s pretty irritating that Cunha’s inevitable ban hasn’t come in time for this game, he is by far their most dangerous player, and he’s clearly getting banned.

4-3...   I had a dream!

I did too...... ..There were all these swedish women, and there was this sauna and.......oh about the football you mean?

Wouldnt be the first 4-3 between us but this time, even if mads is out, I think we should just about have too much for them.  They are shipping goals.  Narrow, important win for the city

I'm sure that the fixtures that Wolves are facing after today have been mentioned earlier in the thread, but just to reiterate that if we can win – or at least not lose – then we put Wolves under a lot of pressure.

Here's their next 8 games until 22 February. Not many points there for them.

Man U (h)
Spurs (a)
Notts Forest (h)
Newcastle (a)
Chelsea (a)
Arsenal (h)
Aston Villa (h)
Liverpool (a)

Totally agree with Cuhna missing possibly the first 4 of those matches I cannot see them getting anything a win or draw for us today and the said fixtures would negate any new manager bounce there morale will be shot.

The FA should never have let him play today it sends the wrong message.

Well yeah, obviously,  but it was more alluding to the points we're likely to get.

There's a hand full of teams we need to be taking points from, these are one of them.

At home, can't be anything less than 3 points.

As I said in the Ward thread: I understand the situation isn't ideal, but if Mads Hermansen isn't fully 100% fit then I would rather Danny Ward to start.

Dear Jesus, as it's near your birthday, please makes my dream come true. 3pts and Ward out of the squad due to having the poops.

I asked Santa, but he's has put a restraining order on me.

Really need Winks back to stabilise the Midfield his vision on the pitch is so important to our game play he can pick out Vardy’s runs on goal, even chips in with the odd goal or two but to have him back would be a superb sight today !
