It's something that really grates on me... Getting patted down as a home fan in your own ground.

Why?!

Because english fans accept being treated this way.

It was great having somewhere dry to sit and have a drink before the game, band was good too. Stayed till 1:30 but was surprised walking to the turnstiles that moving cars were being allowed to mix with the crowd walking in front of the West and South stand. I know they were only trying to get to the car parks, but it does say when you buy a parking ticket you should park up an hour before kick off. With the terrorist attack in Germany I would have thought security would be tighter.

Is this going to be there again for Sundays match does anybody know?

I've heard there's a new offering from a local street food operator... shortcrust pastry filled with chicken balti mixture, cooked until it's hot enough to burn a hole between your mouth and brain... I believe the vendors are called Pukka?

Chance of a terror attack in Leicester?

Doubt that very much.

They've spent about £200 on branded banners. It'll be there for about 2 years tro get their money's worth.

Honestly, don't bother. Beer is chearer & better in the pubs and the food "outlets" are extortionate.

I’m careful to be too critical because it’s something that I’ve moaned that the club desperately needed to implement and I haven’t tried myself.

However my comment from walking past it last week was that it was presented awfully and looked like the family fun day from Phoenix Nights. Scaffold and canopy galore

Just to be clear, the club outside of vocal backing during 90 minutes DO NOT just deserve the support of punters unless the product is superior to those offered elsewhere.

A mental concept

Drove by it earlier, exactly my thoughts.

Is there anything they don't execute absolutely dreadfully?

Sorry to digress from the main topic but does anyone know of anywhere, other than the few episodes on YouTube, where Phoenix Nights can be viewed now?

I have the box sets on DVD somewhere but don't own a DVD player anymore and can't find a site that shows or streams them.

The club will be delighted when this half arsed effort fails.

“We tried”

”we listened”

”nobody came”

”what more can we do”

etc etc

It shouldn’t be a trial, it should be an investment that blows people away so much that they change their match day routines. Lazy, sloppy bastards at LCFC.

The weather last weekend was shocking, anything would have looked bad. To be fair to the club they could have just shoved in 1 bar and a rubbish street food trader with some poor entertainment. The fact they put a stage in with players interviewed and meeting the kids down the front, live music, 2 decent sized bar outlets so queues weren't bad (ok drinks selection could be better) plus some seating, was, if I'm honest, more than I expected. It's December - in April the exact same space will be far nicer to be out in. But it does finally give a space for people to meet near the stadium. No it's not going to replace your favourite pub nearby, but for some people, and probably especially those with kids with them, it's a decent option, which hopefully will only improve. There's only so nice you can make a car park look.
