Totally agree. It's not at the level of Wednesday - however, the problems at Wednesday and other clubs started somewhere....and ****ing about with support staff wages is usually where it starts. Anyone dismissing this as no big issue needs to give their head a wobble - have you missed how this club has been run these past few years? To do this to staff now, is abnormal, and what good reason is there for doing this? Unless you have a cash flow problem, of course.

I'm more concerned about the sale of sizeable assets not solving the issue

Whether it be players... private jets.... money received, advances taken out, vanished.

That could be a possibility. Constantly scrambling at the very last second.
 

I’m also not ruling out that this was always the plan behind the scenes and they didn’t care to tell employees until they were forced to.

That is fair…A LOT has been posted on here that wasn’t true. I’m thinking of all the player “sightings” in the transfer thread.

Sweepstake on how long it’ll take them to pay out on re-sales of season ticket seats?  Sold mine for the Ipswich game, and a week later no sign of the money.  On the few occasions I’ve done it previously (last time being Spurs - 19 August 2024) the payment has always been in my account within 2-3 working days.  I’m not holding my breath.

Like to see the owners use their own cash to advance pay to staff somehow, some way.

 

Im sure some of our squad could do so as well and get their money later without having to worry. Don't get me wrong, its not on the players but would be nice to see happen. 

 

That said, I know my brother in England gets paid monthly.  Over here in Canada most places pay you biweekly or bi-monthly.

I can just see the situation in 2/3 years where we are close to admin and the bloke just wont sell up. In fact, we could go down to L1/L2 and he still won’t. I doubt he’s ever thought of it.
