Even if that's the case, and without going into the legality of it, to do it during the most expensive month of the year morally disgraceful. 

 

I can see no reason why this couldn't have been put back to January and let people have their pay early for Christmas. 

 

If there isn't a serious reason why this has been done just before Christmas, it's plain spiteful.

The “I get paid on the last day of the month, what’s the problem?” brigade can **** off. The club seem to get everything wrong. We’re a shambles.

 

They should be doing everything they can to put this right. The publicity it’s getting is terrible, although for the fans, it’s probably no bad thing.

 

edit - the irony of having someone at board level who allegedly has vast customer service experience too. I work for a business that’s big on customer service and there’s no way you’d want this kind of thing to happen and for your “customers” to know about it.

I am not sure why people would start changing direct debits etc… for one month based on an assumption they would get paid early for this month only.

Not to stick up for the club but I work for a ftse 100 company making record profit who have done something very similar this year. We normally get paid 24th in December but found out yesterday it's going to be the end of the month as normal. 

 

City doing it Could be the sign of something deeper especially with other things like lack of signings etc but it also could be an innocuous accounting thing which is what I hope it is at my work.

No disrespect  but just remember alot of these folk will be minimum wage/ shop staff/ cleaners / admin team who probably planned for that input of cash before xmaS.

Its okay for the top tier w1nkers who wont miss that cash

I think most peoples reaction is to the poss poor communication or lack of it to the impacted employees until the very last minute. Likewise the company you work for has shown an equally bad attitude and lack of appreciation and respect to its staff. 
 

it’s an absolute dogshit way to conduct business and manage your employees.

It may not be but I actually think most of the reactions and posts are aimed at the terrible treatment of the staff and the impact this may have on their and their families Christmas.

But they were told they were getting paid early this month (as reported by media outlets and confirmed by others on this thread). 
 

As asked by another in this thread, why would you possibly look for angles on behalf of the owner instead of advocating for community members who are just trying to scrape together a decent Christmas for their families?
