I think its too late too. But Would take the heat off him from some people for a bit. At least it would be a start, but again there would be no plan.

Quickest win Top can get right now is removing Rudkin full stop. It wont solve anything but it will at least give us fans some hope of change over the summer.

 

New DoF, their appointment of the next manager, sell off or release the shite that has landed us here, rebuild with the academy and some decent hardened Championship/ League 1 players. Might be to much to ask though of a billionaire man child.

Too late. He could’ve hid his own incompetence by acting sooner - could’ve even have hid behind its “not worked” excuse had he made the change earlier and the replacement was lacking.

If he wants to own the club - then I don't actually have an issue with that - BUT ONLY IF HE HAS NO SAY IN HOW THE CLUB IS RUN and delegates to a capable board (i.e not Rudkin or any of our current board)

If Top did a U turn and all of a sudden started learning, making good decisions and restructuring the club by modern standards then I'd have no problem with him owning the club. 

 

People act like it's our choice who owns the club. It isn't. It'll take an enormous amount of effort to force him out in the first place to the extent it's probably verging on impossible at the moment while so many match-going fans are passive consumers (eg Barbara above.) 

 

But then we have almost zero say in who he sells it to and there's a very high chance we're brought by either one of his Thai friends who'll run the club exactly the same way or an American investment group who'll just want us to coast without ambition so they skim as much money out of us for their own pockets as possible. 

 

The odds of a Benham or a Bloom appearing out of left field to turn Leicester in to the envy of the footballing world is next to none and as attractive as fan ownership or a consortium of local interests buying the club might be, it's also Roy of the Rovers fantasy land rubbish that isn't happening to a club of our size in 2026.

 

Top is incompetent but he's also benign, he's not doing anything catastrophically evil and as much as people hate the corporate side of the club, the lack of comms, the match day experience, etc, all of that stuff is pretty par for every other extremely generic professional club of our size in the country and won't change with new owners. 

 

So yeah, his biggest flaw is his incompetence and his trust in equally incompetent people. Obviously if he changed that behavior I wouldn't care if he stayed. Better the devil you know, etc. 

 

Edit: to be clear, though, this is like asking would you be happy with Jordan Ayew signing a new contract if he suddenly started scoring a hattrick every game. It's not going to happen, is it?

What's the odds there's another media day pencilled in and invited for Weds morning like back in January. Cue Percy, Tanner, OPA etc posting articles and invterview quotes of absolute guff come Wednesday afternoon once relegation is confirmed.

too late. If he'd done it in 2023 post the first relegation, much as that was obviously coming from the summer before and was completely avoidable, I'd stand an argument that he was learning from his mistakes. He can't still not see that Rudkin is a mistake, he's stubbornly backing him and there's no reason to believe that he'd be sacking Rudkin for the right reasons with a plan for afterwards

“Robbed” basically means Patson Daka can’t hit a barn door and is just another way of saying we can’t finish or take chances. You don’t get goals for nearly scoring, it’s generally considered to be quite an important part of the game that we are terrible at on a consistent basis. Hence why we’re not very good.

He'd line up a DOF replacement about the same level as a Cooper, RVN, Cifuentes, Rowett.
