No one as a custodian of a football club should downplay the history, size and success of a football club they own like he successfully did in that interview.

'A small club in Midlands'

That comment is proof that he's completely disattached from understanding English football and the city ('they have done a lot for the city though').

We get relegated, this club is going to be see hundreds of job losses.

We should have seen hundreds of job losses already, the fact we haven’t is part of of the problem.

He either doesn’t know or doesn’t care about the perilous financial position.

We have a bigger headcount than most premier league clubs and actually increased it over the last couple of years

Quick look on companies house shows we have more staff than Newcastle for example

We’ve still been recruiting for non core positions this season

Do you think we'd be in this mess had the helicopter crash never happened?

Nope

I don’t think Vichai would have signed the poor deal with the Thai government Aiyawatt did in 2019 which essentially was the start of KP’s troubles

Is that not the sort of thing they ‘have to do’ by virtue of being in bed with the Government there so much.

No. Vichai had faults but he was a business man. Look at who he attracted to the board. Susan Whelan as his ceo - very hands with Vichai there. Dan Barnett a very well respected commercial director. Simon Capper - a highly respected CFO. Matthew Phillips and the creation of the general counsel role. People will say yeah but he gave Rudkin his big break. He did but look at the infrastructure behind him.

all of those respected c-suite personal have left. Two haven’t been replaced. Ones role has been downgraded and the fourth has been replaced internally.

As the video above says, Top is a bit of idiot. Some realised this in 23, some in 24, some more in 25 and a lot more (whether they’d admit it or not, in 26).

to add, never would a business man like Vichai become “acting ceo” and put his bit on the side in place. Had Whelan wanted to leave, he would’ve said, sure, before you go, you’ll find an interim and a list of appropriate candidates to replace you full time as part of the settlement.

Thanks to developments in film technology, the old and the new have been combined to bring us "Carry On King Power", featuring

Jackie Chan as hapless owner "Top Boy". You´ll crease up every time he utters his catchphrase "We promote"

Jim Dale (or Hugh Grant) as likeable young coach Andy King, who just can´t get it up (LCFC`s league position, that is)

Barbara Windsor and Charles Hawtrey, who always win the 50-50 tackles against the Leicester midfielders

In a surprise turn of events, Sean Dyche (Jason Statham) and grizzled veteran Nigel "Ostrich" Pearson (Clint Eastwood or Ray Winstone) parachute in to depose Top Boy and his evil sidekick "Dud-kin" before saving the club from relegation.

It's insane. No CEO, no commercial director, finance director is out of his depth. The DoF responsible for a lot of this gets promoted. We're not cutting costs, we have two training grounds.

What have we spent of lawyers over the past 5 years? That must be 7-8 figures. What have spent on the financial facilities on the KP loans and with Macquarie? It ends in administration, as Top does not have the wherewithal to get us out of this, nor does he have the capability to recruit someday that does.

No. That faulty component the tail rotor of the helicopter changed our history. We went from being run by a hard-headed, successful businessman to being run by his well-meaning but pampered and utterly clueless son. And we will be reaping the cost of it for many, many years.

Plus, because of the success we had under Vichai and the (understandable) view that the club is a part of his legacy, Top's even less likely to sell up/move on.

Yes, I think Top will not sell up while we're in the shit because he won't want to dishonour his dad's memory. Unfortunately he shows no sign of being able to get us out of the shit. So we may be stuck in this deeply unhappy marriage for some time.

I think he had slightly more nous to play the system to his advantage

Aiyawatt on the other hand just does what the Thai government/military (and organised crime syndicates….probs best not libel on here though) say

Could be wrong though

He’s totally clueless bringing in a call centre manager ( temporarily) but does not understand English football.

I honestly think I'm going to follow a premier league team for a while and have Leicester on a back burner until Top sells.

Support your local non-league team.

Personally think Vichai's success and nous is completely overstated. Appointed several shite managers, only really Pearson did well and that was on Birch's recco.

We won the league which was one in a trillion. Several ****ing awful decisions - notably Puel.

That said he was miles better than Top.

Puel took over an aging team that could barely string 2 passes together, rebuilt and put together the bones of a squad that was capable of challenging the top 6.

His football was dull, but there's no way he didn't have an overall net positive impact on the club.

Vichai made some poor calls and mistakes, while they're not ideal I think they are to be expected. Dealing with them and rectifying them is important. He also got people around him that knew that they were doing and were good at their jobs. That's something he seemed to do fairly well.

Top will go down as one of the worst and destructive chairman/owners in modern history though. They're so far apart on the spectrum I don't think there can be a comparison haha.

Puel could muster up a 9th placed finish at best with peak Vardy, Mahrez, Ndidi and Schmeichel - rubbish

Lost out an Europa place to Burnley

Nothing out of the club regarding Tuesday's debacle other than a couple of 1/2 minute interviews with Kingy and Begovic.

They keep saying "we need to communicate more" yet never seem to actually want to.

Sick of the lot of them.

After sleeping on it I'm still seething, first time ever after all the tripe we've gone through the past 2 seasons.

My joy, hope, passion has all been completely drained by Top etc.

I want to enjoy football and I can't in any aspect while following Leicester, haven't for some time.

I honestly think I'm going to follow a premier league team for a while and have Leicester on a back burner until Top sells.

Leicester are your team, following a premier league team just won’t be the same, who will you pick and how? These things just can’t be chopped and changed .
I once had a mate, we always used to go Filbert St together, we lost touch and he sadly passed away, his coffin came out draped in a Man Utd flag, just couldn’t believe it, I just don’t understand changing teams.
