He should of gone straight into the squad last night give the lad a chance! hes looked better than daka every time he played for us. It just goes to show how out of touch and not fit for purpose the recruitment department really is

Think he's come back to be sold in my opinion with Sheffield United likely destination.

Seems likely, and it is probably the reluctant right choice

Should keep him, he can’t be any worse than our current strikers, might be the missing link?

If this is to make funds available for Ruud's signings, its hard to disagree tbh, especially as at this point  he is a punt at EPL level.

I can’t believe how much he’s improved in a lot of poster’s minds since I last saw him in a Leicester shirt.

Cash in, buy someone that fits what Ruud wants in a striker.

Trade players, make profit, re-invest into players that fit the plan better - It’s a good thing!!!

Went on the Stoke City forum quite a few of their fans, albeit he scored a fair few goals don't rate him.

Players get better the less you see them play. Whoever isn't being picked at the moment (i.e Okoli) is the solution to the problem.

The one that sticks out for me, not lcfc though, was dean Ashton. People were basically saying if he hadn't of got injured we would have won the world cup!

I look forward to him bagging a brace against us next season for a resurgent Sheffield United, top of the goalscorer chart with the Blades five clear at the top of the league while we're languishing in midtable. Daka scores a consolation for us in a 3-1 loss, his first in two months after a torrid season where our lack of goals has become our achilles heel.

We won’t be in the same leagues

This is based on them not quite making automatics and losing in the playoffs.

Or we can apply the same scenario to Sunderland if they sign him. He's going to flourish in a better set-up than Stoke, mark my word.

And the guy himself, wants to play every week, not sit on the bench here.

This might go a ways toward explaining why so many on the Oatcake don't seem bothered about him leaving

Scores on a notably low % of his shots from open play.

Now that our season is essentially over, we might as well build the team around him in preparation for next season.

Guess we are not calling on our Commonwealth partners this time then. lol

And there's plenty on socials who say he's the best they've had since their relegation.

I don't see the sense in binning off a player of his age when we're almost certainly heading for the Championship and more than likely losing Vardy. He's clearly capable of bagging a few and his value can only increase. Hard to see us replacing that pocket money signings.

Exits?

“We’re looking at Tom Cannon’s situation very closely. What is best for him and for the club. There’s a possibility of loans being looked at, but other than that we want to keep the team together.”

I can't fathom people's stance on Cannon. He's young, developing and way off a strikers ceiling. Yet people seem keen as mustard to jettison him the moment anyone bids close to what we paid. Have you lads not seen Patson Shanker play? Do you not see the gradual demise of Vards? Cannon is young and a resource. 7 mil will not guarantee you anything in the striker transfer market. I'd rather stick than twist myself!

Money for more pressing defensive reinforcements I assume  :dunno:
