was in '96, it was my first game at Filbert Street

I saw this one from the Carling stand. Blackburn's luminous kit was visible but nothing else - it looked like there was only one team out there!

Well my niece enjoyed her 1st game. Said it’s not always like this, it’s a one off haha.

Enjoyable game the bits could see. Did miss the 1st goal as late as usual still down the pub 🙈.

The only other thing you missed was waiting outside in large queues had you been on time

It means absolutely nothing but that decision not to give us a second pen might be the worst refereeing decision I’ve ever seen

I think his view was blocked.

I'll never forget Blackburn at home in about 97/98. Genuinely couldn't see anything more than 10-15 yards which when you're seat was on the half way line was not very handy 😂😂😂

I think the worst fog-affected game in "modern times" was the England U21 v Bulgaria U21 match at Filbert Street in 1979-80.

The England v Bulgaria senior match had been called off due to fog (the previous night I think), and I think they just wanted to get the U21 match played no matter what.   Maybe the result wasn't unduly significant in the scheme of things.   Anyway, the match went ahead in dense fog.

It really was bad.   I mean, much worse than yesterday or the Blackburn match above.  Utterly farcical.  We won 5-0, not that anyone saw many of the goals, unless you just happened to be standing right behind one.   As I say, I think they just wanted to get the thing played.   But it was a farce.

In reality it's 6 - 0 . Harry winks must have put fifty quid on QPR to score. Not one but two passes that lead to immediate goals

I was one of the 80,000 standing outside Wembley that night. My first ever visit as I always said that I wouldn't go unless City were playing. It was the first time ever that a Wembley international had been called off due to weather. They announced that tickets would be valid for the game the following night which went down well with the group of Blackpool fans I was standing next to. The fog lifted by the time I got back to the station and I did go back down the next night. Glenn Hoddles debut (and goal).

Is it me or is Conner Coady's positional awareness really bad. When Winks passes the ball to their player instead of running towards the player and the ball he backs off towards the goal. Why ? He's also done this several times in recent PL games . Man city 2nd goal and Liverpools 2nd goal. Probably more if I check. Supposed to be a leader but to me is part of the problem . Gives the ball away a lot but doesn't always get punished. Poor

I really wasn't sure about the line up when I saw it, but it was absolutely the right way to go. Winning is just a lot more fun! If we can stop making stupid defensive errors we might just stand a chance of staying up. I really like the Elk and Goodnight together. I think we might need another goalscorer as well. Wout's goal was an absolute TC.

I felt the same but confidence would've been on the floor going into Wednesday's game if we'd have lost yesterday. It wasn't a perfect game by any means but it showed we're not a championship side playing in the premier league

Yes. I believe that now, and hopefully the players will too. What I was most worried about was that we might lose. RVN obviously,  thankfully and correctly, had more faith than I did.

Maybe we just need to play in thick fog every week

Add Southampton rain on Wednesday night and we could stuff Palace 15-0

For those of us of a certain vintage, revenge!! 1987 5-2  at thier gaff on that fcking plastic pitch..

Our fifth successive third round defeat I think, and was still another 4 or 5 years til we finally did win in round three. Fcking long time as a kid that was..

I was there in 87 too. Was it still a plastic pitch? I was there in 81 when Alan Young tore his ACL on the plastic.

I was also at the train station after they beat in March, they weren´t quite so loud and cocky yesterday! Still, 4500 is very good support. Also, thanks to QPR for sealing our promotion by beating Leeds.

Apologies if it’s been missed but anyone know what Faes celebration was all about?

I think he had someone sat over in that corner. He went and waved towards the same area at the end of the game.

Yeah got that but then he held his hands up like saying sorry or scoring against a former club
