He wasn’t what we needed last season or what we need this time. He needs to go into a system and learn how to play in a team rather than play like he’s skinning his mates. Our idea of coaching was dumping him on the pitch and letting him spam his skill button. He didn’t grow apart from getting roughed up after megging a few cloggers. He’ll learn more in an afternoon at Man City than he did last season. Maybe we can loan him in a couple of years. Edited 2 July by Richmondfox 8
jonny_wright Posted 2 July Posted 2 July Considering a tribunal was on the table, £10m is excellent work from the club…. Tribunals take years and rarely pay significant sums
DezFox Posted 2 July Posted 2 July (edited) 10 mill in my opinion is not great for the potential he has. Seems big teams have low balled us and we will accept the bare minimum of what we want. I imagine it will be about 8 mill with limited add ons Disappointing. Teams manage to rinse people, we are so shit at it. He is 16 years old, unknown ceiling that could be truly massive. He is going for less than Kasey McAteer to team tgat has unlimited money. Edited 2 July by DezFox

TheGoldenGod Posted 2 July Posted 2 July So surprising to me that Arsenal haven't paid what we've asked for....there's almost a guarantee they'll flip him for double at least, no brainer really 1

moore_94 Posted 2 July Posted 2 July Prefer him to go Man City, not quite sure why though... Quite like that even when we are in league one Arsenal still cannot get players from us 2

kingpowerout Posted 2 July Posted 2 July £10m + addons for a 16yr old who isn’t yet ready for men’s first team football is a good deal. All the best JM

Has a huge ceiling, I’m not asking for the world but when you look at other teams ability to get the most of their assets and I just don’t think we do. Edited 2 July by DezFox
South Shire Fox Posted 2 July Posted 2 July Rather he went Man City tbh. Cannot stand Arsenal or their unbearable fans 2
MPH Posted 2 July Posted 2 July 10m in our situation is the best we can hope for. Hopefully a couple of young lads loaned to us as part of the deal would be nice!

I agree he has potential, but he's 16, a league 1 player. He didn't really do too much in the Championship, albeit with rubbish around him. I'd rather get £10m with add ons for him now than risk a decline over the coming season. You can't deny the lad a chance to progress under Maresca and all the top players he'll learn from. 1

Quite simple, fine if you don’t agree.

I was on a train back from their place, the season before last, with a few of their supporters. They were talking about dynamic ticket pricing and I said they shouldn’t worry, they’re not exactly the hottest ticket in town. It’s fair to say they weren’t great fans of stating the truth.
