I think we treated Enzo very well and top rudders still likely arse lick him so i hope he remembers us and gives us loans for the next few seasons off the back of this deal especially given we will play a poor mans clone of the style.

Overrated and will never come to anything.

Look forward to plastic Man City fans telling me that another great prospect was nurtured through their academy.

It does but my point was far too many expecting £10 m which would be staggering if achieved but everything I hear is that isn’t close to the initial payment

I look forward to this in the future then 'Leicester city have opened up a new loan facility with Australian bank Macquarie, to bring forward £5.8m in monies owed to the club, from the transfer of J. Monga to Manchester City in July 2026"

You seriously thinking we should have been able to get what would be something like the 11th largest fee ever for a teenager, when he's barely played, hardly played in the PL and we're a L1 side with little leverage?

I said what I said and now you can take your hostility elsewhere you silly little man!

This would put him in the bracket of top five biggest fees for a 16 year old. We’re league one.

It doesn’t matter how it is structured. We got next to nothing for Nyoni in comparison.

I’m not sure we get anyone to pay much more than what is being touted.

I don’t want to give any praise to the negotiations skills of those at the club. Like some have said he’s very talented and the club have fallen so far thanks to those same people, so we have no choice but to sell. Also Enzo probably picked up the phone to Top, rather than some bean counter at Arsenal who kept going up in penny increments.

When we were successful in the prem, we always sold a top player every season and bought well with the proceeds. Lets hope we can do that now with what I think is good money for Monga.

When this eventually goes through, it will be the usual undisclosed fee no doubt leaving us all guessing any amount from £5m + add ons to £10m with sell on clause. Why can't football fees be more transparent?

Shame it's one of our bright young stars leaving and not any of the deadwood. Sad that it's Monga before we've seen what he can really do, and it's not the likes of Vestegaard, Winks, Faes or Kristiansen (to name but a few) finally ****ing off elsewhere.

Definitely the best for him, mind you. We are a car crash

Media does a great job of reinforcing this "Manchester City academy product" bullshit.

Same with "Klopps Kids" when all had been poached from academies after the age of 16/17;

I would imagine fee will be close to £5m up front, with add ons (some easier/ some harder to obtain) taking the total package up to the £10m figure quoted.

Either way I think it’s a fair deal all around.

Sadly best cause of action is to probably to use the funds to offset against any losses getting the deadwood off the books, and can then reset using our academy lads.

Won’t be long before that happens bet Rudkin is working as we speak

Dave Buchansn,A previous starlet

He played for city at 16 scored a few goals.

He ended up a lower league journeyman.

Monga has shown no more skill or ability than him but a lot more hype

Good move for him and for the club finances.
