I've said before but Okoli looked best against Fiorentina. I think he's suited to the Italian style so not that surprising to me. I'm conscious that we're in a closing window and if we can't replace I wouldn't sell I'll be honest.

This won't happen. AC Milan won't want to pay the money required for us to break even on him.

They probably were only looking at him as a loan as he wasnt starting for us but now he is so we won't loan him and he will likely be happier to stay.

Okoli is the new Praet, linked to Serie A every window and never leaves because tight Rudkin vs tight Italian clubs is the ultimate stand off.

As awful as it might be, Okoli is probably our most competent defender at the moment. Granted, that seems to change week by week when they take it in turns making horrific mistakes.

Unless we're selling him for much needed profit or his wages are significantly higher than Vestergaard and Faes (which I doubt), he wouldn't be top of my list of people to get rid of, to be honest.

Mid to long term, absolutely, I think he's crap. But now? Eh.

Nelson is but besides that I agree.

Okoli is one of the few long term options too. Faes and Vestergaard's deals are up next summer (thank f uck). However if we get an offer we can break even on we should absolutely take it.

Genuinely forgot the transfer window was even open, but how is he being linked to Milan 😂. I admire his agents ambition.

Italian transfers are a circus as you'll know. They've spent a lot of money on dross over the years, a cheap-ish, young-ish CB that's played in the PL and for a few clubs around Italy - it's not that outlandish.

It’s not and I’m definitely basing my reaction on historic thoughts around Milan rather than their current situation but even so, I find it utterly mental if they think he is the answer.

That said, it does back up why I said this transfer probably makes sense when we signed him, low risk if he’s shit but high reward if he comes good.

Yep yep. All our signings should have an off ramp, worst case scenario with Okoli is is we probably sell him for about £7m, not great but not abysmal.

Take Skipp, Ayew, Reid if they don't work out we're just chewing the fat for years, nobody else is ever taking them off our hands

Other than when having the ball at his feet he is more than good enough for this level of football! Definitely doesn’t get pushed aside like Vesty and doesn’t have the same tendencies to lunch in and wipe himself out of the game like Wout!

He’s pretty limited but don’t think I’d even have him in the Top10.

Its definitely my favourite reactionary thing to see said on this forum, I reckon there's probably a good 50 players that have been branded with that lol

Says a lot about Rudkin and co though lol

Sadly, that's not the case. It's the summer of 2027 that their contracts expire, so we have another 18 delightful months of them to enjoy yet!

If we can get our money back or near about sell.

Better and for cheaper options available.

We should be looking to move on any CB other than Nelson, start over.

Id argue that Rudkin is extremely generous to other clubs at our expense.
