Fun stat - Ballotelli is the only Italian player to win the Premier League.

It’ll be a culture thing.

Fikayo Tomori is the only English player to win Serie A.

Two English players (Beckham and Cunningham) have won La Liga.

Two English players have won the Bundasliga (Keegan and Hargreaves)

Fikayo Tomori is the only English player to win Serie A. Ashley Young won it for Inter, Jimmy Greaves for AC Milan

Two English players (Beckham and Cunningham) have won La Liga. There’s at least 2 more - Laurie Cunningham and Trippier did with Atletico Madrid.

Sure there may be a couple of others that I haven’t remembered.

Upon further fact checking, you are all correct.

Still can’t find another Italian. I was thinking Cudicini at Chelsea! Apparently not though.

Cudicini was in two Chelsea squads that won the Prem but didn't play enough games for a medal, three and four Prem games respectively. He tended to play the cup games more. Hell of a back up keeper.

Taibi similar at Utd, was there when they won the title but didn't play enough games. Difference being he wasn't very good.

Carlo Cudicini has a winners medal. Second goalkeepers get one regardless of appearances.

Vialli, Di Matteo, Zola did well here. Di canio

another obvious one. Ravenelli was a goal scoring machine. And Carbone was someone I always liked watching. All these are from the earlier years of the PL. can’t remember anyone recently who has taken my eye.

Yeah i do like Okoli, but you can see why successive managers have entrusted experienced prem players with the task of defending like experienced premier league defenders. The issue you have is that they've got slow, unphysical holding midfielders screening them meaning they are pulled from pillar to post. You have to feel for Coady, Faes an Vestergaard in that respect in that they can't rely on crosses being blocked or runs being tracked / shots closed down. So they are constantly wary in three different directions at once.

If Coulibaly can shore up the right flank and either Ndidi comes back /  we bring in a better CDM, then some of our centre halves MIGHT stand a chance of tracking their own man more effectively. It's a big MIGHT, because they have been shown to have a brain fart in them per game regardless, but i don't think they've been given the best chance to succeed with the lack of support they get from the right and from the defensive midfield set up.

Another example of piss poor planning. Looks a good player, significantly better than Faes, Vestergaard and Coady. I know all the articles are saying we need to strengthen the fullbacks, but our centre backs are absolutely atrocious and there appears to be no transfer plan.

May as well relegate ourselves to becoming the new Norwich for a few years and yo-yoing.

If we get less than we paid for then it’s bloody ridiculous. Has such clear potential. Rudkin and Top need to sort themselves out.

To be fair, I think his home sickness has just seen the club want to cash in. Selling both him and Cannon significantly raises funds for this window….

However, it’s a risky game to play.

Very true and there are of course a few others we'd like to see leave before those two!

I like Okoli too but the home sickness thing may well be an issue particularly if you're not being played either.

Cannon is a more difficult and puzzling one. We may be just in need to sell before the next PSR review or an unrelated internal issue, who knows. If not, with the threat of relegation and possible retirement of Vardy, it seems a bit short sighted.

You'd have to assume Ruud has targets he wants in and we need to raise funds to make it happen and Cannon is one of the few saleable assets we have with actual interest.

Tbf he hasn’t looked that good, his passing in particular is way off.

Well Carlo Cudicini at Chelsea
Ashley Young became only the third Englishman to win the league title in Italy, the first being Jimmy Greaves in 1962 and Gerry Hitchens in 1963, also for the Nerazzurri. Plus Tomori

In the league alone, the 20-year-old Bellingham netted eighteen goals – and becomes just the fifth Englishman to enjoy La Liga success, alongside Laurie Cunningham, Steve McManaman, David Beckham and Kieran Trippier

Bellingham won in Germany too

Yep France is right

Another utterly inept signing by the club, like what is their actual plan? Why? We've brought Faes, Souttar, this guy, why not just buy one decent player and ****ing PLAY them! Rudkin is such a useless bag of stinking excrement

Who was the small winger sunderland signed who was awful then was in the national side smashing it. Something doesn’t translate with Italians and our football

Certainly agree.
I would play Okoli and start him every game. I might be wrong of course but I think he has potential where in 2/3 seasons he will be a top defender.
He may be homesick now as he has not played for months, there were no reports when he was playing. And largely I felt did well. Our only clean sheets came when he was playing. (Unless I have that wrong)

we have lost 6 in a row with CBs that offer us nothing now or in the future. Okoli was signed for a decent amount. We should invest in what we signed in order to fulfill his potential. With 20 games in the PL this season and playing a year in the championship next, I think he will be a very good defender. Certainly worth giving him a chance.

If we lose money on him, really sums up the board and our club. There is no monetary value in Coady and Vestegaard. Often make mistakes every single game.  Yet somehow they play every game ahead of others who could have a real future here.

If he's not playing and not even getting in the squad then no wonder he's homesick and fed up.

If he was playing regularly and enjoying his football with his team mates, that would help him to settle in Leics. If all he's doing is training and then going to his digs in a strange country, I'd be homesick and want to go back too.

Poor sod.

Poor £50k a week to train and not play.

Don't know why anyone has any sympathy for this stuff, he wasn't forced to come here, he signed a very good contract for himself with a PL club.
