I think we just have to be patient. We know the time and we know the location, so no further planning on our part is required.

I just hope there is enough time to whip up interest.

I would assume this isn’t a one and done kind of thing. The first one might get 50 people, the next 100 etc.

If people want change then they should be less preoccupied with picking holes in what @ProjectReset or any of the fan groups have/haven’t done and more so with just turning up and showing their support if they care enough to do so.

The first one doesn’t have to be anything fancy to get the clubs attention: be at a place on a date and time and vocalise your discontent.

spot on. There are plenty who like to vent their disapproval. This is an attempt to build a community of protest, and these things always start small, and with no guarantee of success. But you have to start somewhere. Good luck to @ProjectReset and all others involved in trying to make this happen.

11.30 is to early as few will be around the ground so anyone turning up will be moved on.

1.30 2pm would be better as plenty of other fans will be arriving.

11.30 your walking into an ambush and be forced to move on.

The idea of 2 or 3 hours is good but it won't happen. Expect 50 plus police and vans waiting for you.

Probably put an email to sky or whoever is showing the game so they have a reporter outside for it.

Ummmmm... you do know K.O is at 12.30 right?

Fair play to @ProjectReset but first, I dunno what time this is, or where. And I'm looking for it..

Second, as been pointed out, and I hate to be a naysayer, but you gotta think these things out.

11am or whatever is an absolute shocker of timing. Read the room. Anticipate that most punters are lazy. Me included. Make it after the game. Almost certain defeat. And the punters are fed up and ready to have a pop

And even if it weren't a defeat, 50 people protesting after a win is still a good marker for depth of feeling.

A sit in protest would have been fantastic for this game.

BT Sport are showing the game and often work pitch side. A sit in protest would disrupt their plans and would ensure that our voices are heard by a wider audience.

Be amazing if the ground is half empty because the club and the police 'disperse' the folk that were supposed to be going to the game.

Would love it if that happened. Arsenal at home would normally be a complete sellout but lots of empty seats will show up well on the TV.

Really hope this isn't a damp squib.

But you need them in a block unless it's 6 or 7k.

150 speed around the ground is easy to move on.

well clearly they are thinking things out, as earlier in this thread they've stated why they've delayed releasing details. Even if you're lazy, it's pretty obvious the gathering will be reasonably close to the ground and at around 11.30am. It's currently Tuesday. The game is on Saturday. You're clearly devoted to LCFC given the amount you post. You can do this. And it's bit rude to suggest they're not thinking things through just because their plan doesn't meet with your approval

looks like the organisation around the protest is about as bad as the organisation in the club

maybe its just a Leicester thing

Keeping it hush up until a few hours before just means you wont drum up the interest of fans wanting to protest. It will end up being about 50 strong which will have no impact

p.s. are you not allowed to peaceful protest anymore? why would the police get involved? I may be missing something blindingly obvious of course

I agree to an extent, but I'd imagine Union FS have to tread a careful line.

They've kind of got to behave, to some extent, because they are reliant upon the club to keep increasing their area, allowing them tifo's etc...

I know one of them has mentioned they will be there, but I do think there's a difference between taking part, and organising. We might never see tifo's etc again if King Power gestapo were to catch wind.

You've also got to bare in mind that although its a peaceful protest, for every 100 people, there's some idiot that will look for trouble or cause it through stupidity. Doubt Union FS would want to be directly responsible for that if they were to have organised it.

As for foxes trust, that might as well be ran by Rudkin.

are Union FS basically puppet's on strings to the club?

There was huge support for a protest at this game when this thread was created in the wake of the Fulham game on the 18th of January. In that post it was decided that the protest would be held on the 15th of January.

That’s nearly a full month and absolutely nothing has been set in stone. Not a peep from any official or unofficial supporter group. All we know is “Join us at 11:30 no Saturday, 15th February 2025, outside the ground”.

Now we're less than 4 days until this is supposed to start and they're on here asking for volunteers.

Pretty sure everyone could just rock up outside the ground and shout a lot, maybe wave a piece of cardboard.

#1 - They have thought it out. That's why there is scant detail apart from the date.

#2 - If you are too lazy to get there at 11 rather than 12 then my bet is you just aren't interested in protesting.

#3 - I get the logic of the after the game thing but there is a downside too - a surprise result dampens the idea, people want to get off (yeah see #2), non-protestors won't see it, etc.

I mean, I didn't want to word it as bluntly as that, and I don't mean it in a negative way, but I'd imagine the club has a degree of control over them with regards to Tifo's etc.

I'm probably completely wrong though.

I'd imagine the club can cause Union FS more issues than they' be able to cause the club. Can't imagine the club gives two sh1ts if Union FS exist or not so best to keep them on side to a degree but obviously a fine line to being on strings like you say as I'd imagine Union FS want to be their own entity.

I'm probably just talking nonsense,  as is often the case. lol

haha, it was a question rather than a statement to create conversation on a forum - that answer is fine

I get the position Union FS are in, but with not being allowed to grow the section and still no safe standing i'm not sure how much longer they will tolerate it

If it's so bad why don't you get involved and help organise it then?

The club have announced that the games this weekend will celebrate football vs homophobia. Cynical part of me feels the club has got wind of the planned protests and counteracted with this.

I'm probably reading too much into it and these things are probably arranged months in advance but the timing does seem suss unless it's a national thing that all clubs are doing this weekend?.

Edit: apparently it's national and it's just my cynicism towards the club going into over drive 🤣
