Hi mate

The companies I’ve spoken to who will provide and drive the van will get in early to scope out the best spots.
These companies specialise in this sort of activity and I’ve explained that certain roads close pre-match (Raw Dykes).

They can circulate around roads close to the stadium as well as move to legal loading bays and parking spots to attract fans walking towards the stadium from different locations.

Just a heads up, don’t give too much information away on here. You never know if the club have people looking at forums like this to find stuff out.

Genuine question has the club ever actually contacted/ banned someone for suggesting protest.

Seen this suggested alot here and it seems unlikely. There is alot to critise this club for but that seems extreme

Happy to be corrected if it has happened though

Hi all,

Thanks to everyone who has donated.
We’re on £230 which is great.
Our target is £500 to hire the van for the day (target date = Sat 15th Feb for the Arsenal game).

We need to give the van company a few days to get everything set up and we need to pay upfront for it.

So, ideally we could do with raising the full funds by the week before the 15th.

If you know anyone who’d be willing to sling in a few quid, please share the link!

Of course if we don’t make the funds in time, we can either delay and hope we raise enough for the following home game or we can start issuing refunds. We’ll cross that bridge in a few weeks.

A reminder of the link:

cheers!

Just a quick one mate - not sure if it's been answered.

Have you factored into account the road closures pre-match, and how the van will stay outside the KP? I'd imagine the club will liase with the police to move it on?

I have indeed. I’ve spoken to several potential digital van companies all who have assured me how they operate in and around stadiums.
Can’t say loads on here because apparently the club are watching us. But it’s all been briefed in and discussed carefully.

I’m going to expect a photo proudly paraded on here of it sat right down the end of Fosse Way with the ground a distant outline in the background… which will be hilarious for the replies in this thread but do very little for Bottom and his cronies actually seeing it

Is that Susan Whelans husband next to her?

Sack the board (and Susan's husband)

They do say folk are attracted to people who look like themselves.

It’ll still be picked up by the media, fans and club employees, that’s where the impact comes from - unlikely Top wouid ever see it in person.

Be interesting to see how this goes. The KP affiliates in the fan base have shown themselves to quite aggressive and abusive and sometimes violent in their defence of their lord and saviour and his trusted donkey. Could really kick off.

I know a lad who got a life ban for calling the club "Nazi's" on twitter, he was a season ticket holder and they banned him mid season

I witnessed quite heated arguments at the Fulham game. So I think it already has or certainly the fuse has been lit.

The club need to be really careful here. Now I’m not suggesting that what the supporter did is correct, but the club need to be really clear where their line is. I donated to this, and did wonder whether it was worth hiding my name.

Part of me does wonder whether someone trawls through twitter and stuff like this and puts a black mark if they can identify people who are critical of the regime. But maybe I’m just being paranoid.

Yes they pay a company to do the online watch stuff.

Be prepared to be videoed from the offices above as I'm sure they'd like a dossier of who they can identify as part of this protest.

No doubt the Police will be filming too, just in case of any disorder with those who don't support this stance who want to make their feelings known as they pass.

They do a lot of "Just in case" filming in our block on big games in case they need to identify protagonists later. The forces name for the ones filming is "Spotters"

With the very best intentions we all are surely aware how peaceful legal protests can sometimes turn out. I'm sure this will pass without incident but I don't need to tell you there are a lot of comments out there from some angry people who don't share the same view as those of us on here.

Been a long time coming this protest, looking forward to it.

Focus on what we are protesting about, let the NPC's and Billionaire worshippers get on with it on the day, ignore the complete weirdos.

@ozvaldo

Assuming we hit the target, have the messages already been decided, or is there a place where we can submit a few suggestions? (Keeping it clean of course)

Hi mate,

You can either send them to me on a private message on here or via twitter making sure you use the hashtag #LCFCbillboard.

cheers.

It's going to be a very divided/toxic atmosphere pre-Arsenal, there are some staunch defenders of King Power a lot of which don't even visit this forum. People need to wake up to what's really going on.

yep, the most basic rule of all protests is cover any identifying marks (eg tattoos) and cover your face.
