Granted I’ve seen nothing of him but could easily just be on an excellent season rather than being a consistent performer. Personally I prefer Kasper Hogh at Bodo Glimt. I’m struggling for CF options though, maybe Thom Van Bergen at Groningen or if we have the money, Salech from Cardiff. No, not worried at all. The cost difference between him and Hogh would be about quarter the price.

Long Eaton Fox Posted 10 July 2025 Posted 10 July 2025 Seems like a promising player although scored his goals in the second division. 1

LVFox Posted 10 July 2025 Posted 10 July 2025 Shuto Machino from Kiel. 11 goals and 4 assists in a relegated side last season, good link up. £5m being talked about as enough to get him in. 2
les-tah Posted 10 July 2025 Posted 10 July 2025 (edited) The squad is still extremely strong for the championship when you get rid of the dead wood like bouba, faes etc. we still need fresh blood and at a minimum we need new quality starting CM,ST and you could argue everywhere else we have depth especially with the return of Fatawu and some younger lads. Id be open to a new defender aswell. Edited 10 July 2025 by les-tah

Surely Soumare and Ndidi go. Quite concerned about a 10 and ST though with BEK likely leaving.

I can see Cifuentes going back to Hammarby for Markus Karlsson, would be a natural Winks replacement, probably good enough going forward to play alongside him too. Edited 10 July 2025 by LVFox 1

Ideally they do though and we make a profit for PSR/get their wages gone, but I don't expect much demand.

Yeah agree but beyond ability i think they are just bad egg mentalities and just cant be arsed to play for this club in the championship.
LVFox Posted 10 July 2025 Posted 10 July 2025 Can see Alves being used as a 10 more, would actually love during pre season to see a front 4 of Fatawu, Alves, Monga and Mavididi, purely for the dribbles. We will need an attacking midfielder and a centre forward as high priority.
Sankey93 Posted 10 July 2025 Posted 10 July 2025 Josh Brownhill! Don’t Marti like 2 X CAM’s? Clement Bischoff Franculino Djú
Sankey93 Posted 10 July 2025 Posted 10 July 2025 If we do manage to get some cash in we should go all out for….. Mihailo Ivanović
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 10 July 2025 Posted 10 July 2025 To be honest the squad doesn’t really need much, at most 4 signings as far as I’m concerned, Focusing mainly on free agents to reset PSR and spend whatever budget we do have on a quality striker. I expect us to only bring in a GK and CM though. GK - Begovic - That goalkeeper room needs some experience in it. Begovic is a very good No. 2 goalkeeper in the championship, experience through the roof at the top level, previously managed by Marti. CB - Michael Keane or Lascelles - Dependent on if we can get all three of Coady, Faes and Vesty off the books. Get a cheap leader with experience as 3rd/4th choice, more leadership needed with the squad likely to be so young. CM - Josh Brownhill - Fits Marti’s system in a 4-3-3 like a glove. Offers goal contributions and more natural in the No.8 role than any other midfielder on the books. ST - Fotis Ioanndis - Bit of a gamble this one as he had a poor season last year. But his style of play again fits us like a glove. Focusing more on fit than goal return. I don’t have much knowledge of strikers across Europe that could be available. I wouldn’t be surprised if we stick with Daka, Ayew and Evans however. SQUAD: GK - Jakub, Begovic, Bausor Fullbacks - JJ, Ricky, Woyo, Thomas, Aluko Centre backs - Okoli, Nelson, New signing, Soutts, Aluko Centre Mid - Winks, Skipp, Hamza, new signing, Page Attacking Mid - Bilal, Alves, Monga, Evans Wingers - Abdul, Mav, McAteer, Monga, Alves, Wanya Strikers - New signing, Daka, Evans 1
Scotch Posted 11 July 2025 Posted 11 July 2025 If we end up looking for a backup AM/winger and money is tight, I could very well see us going for Lucas Andersen. Played for MC at Aalborg (it might even have been him that signed him) and then he signed him for QPR. Now a free agent.
Bablemikey Posted 11 July 2025 Posted 11 July 2025 Keep seeing his name come up but I've not seen anything from Coulibaly to suggest he's good enough. I appreciate he was cheap, but he's not shown he's at our level.

I don't really get the leaders thing. Or certainly not getting in experienced pros as leaders. Look at Coady. Utter flop. His leadership did nothing for us last season. I prefer the Thomas Frank approach. Don't recruit dicks. Leaders can be any age, let's focus on young leaders not tired old pros. 2
MPH Posted 11 July 2025 Posted 11 July 2025 Well played, Agent Smith….. Charlotte FC star Patrick Agyemang may be closing in on a move to Derby County, but his club manager has urged him to reconsider.
