Oddly most seem to have forgotten or are completely oblivious to the fact that John Percy predicted prior to the 2015/16 season, that we would not only be relegated, but finish bottom of the table.

That's a prediction (from a Forest fan no less) as opposed to dishing out 'knowledge'.

Yeah, and Ben Dawson

Probably wouldn't have been very difficult to verify the story with him. When I read the bit about going to Rudkin my immediate thought was this has come from his agent but perhaps not then.

How do we know that the player is even doing it for the reason though? and why drop in stuff like that about one of his teammates?

I think it is far more likely that it was a player on the end of some "home truths" from Ruud and has now gone crying to the media and Top

Which in my opinion the vast majority of the players in our squad need a massive kick up the arse rather than being able to get their own way

Equally valid take tbf. Tho, I'd expect a journalist to be able to differentiate between a disgruntled gripe versus respected opinion..

The Dutchman gets no slack from me.til he's  earned it..tbh, it should've been earned in Holland but apart from one season, he did nothing.

He trusts this clown Dawson..He picked Ward. Twice. Prefers Ayew to Facundo etc etc  Subs off Bilal..

He deserves no slack.

He's a decent player. Not bothered who his agent is.

The point i was making is his agent could easily have verified this story for Percy given the close proximity to the midlands and other staff/players within our club too. Surprised this has seemingly got to this, Percy seldom publishes stuff he hasn't got assurances on.

Are we sure it wasn't Ayew ruud was having a pop at. They seemed to have a bit of a disagreement in the last game and Ayew is always on his arse.

For Percy to remove it from the article suggests he's not confident in his source now.

He had a clear mission with the story, so perhaps was less diligent in verifying? Most of it is still there so doesn't mean the rest of it lacks credibility.

Is it possible the club have asked him to remove it, with him not wanting to risk his relationship with the club he's agreed?

Politics. Business. Sport. Leaks are part of the course to further an agenda.

I say that this 'rat' can see the Dutchman for what he is; out of his depth and we are headed to the championship at break neck speed.

We have so many problems, but at least one player cares enough to break the code and speak out to try and enforce change

Puel, Cooper, Ruud, even Enzo to a degree (there was a bit of downing tools towards the end of last season). how many managers do the players have to undermine and try and force out before we admit that the problem is the chummy culture between players and owner meaning no standards are enforced and that's what needs to actually change.

I don't rate any journalist that didn't have us finishing top that season either. Proof that they are entirely unreliable.

I get you, tho disagree slightly..maybe it's.simply.that the DoF is haphazard (at best) in identifying managers rather than the dressing room being problematic

Puel they didn't rate at all. Personally I think his poor English added to a lack of charisma did for him. Football wise he was half decent..

The players were behind Rodgers to the last. Literally not a dissenting voice whilst our world collpased around us..

Cooper couldn't hold the room. The Dutchman out of his depth.

Enzo,.hmmm. I think he led with a rod of iron but the players just,.in the end, saw us over the line rather than die on his hill. Still think they largely backed him

Perhaps, but his story likely damaged it already.

Usually, the journalist will say 'the club denies this' or include a rebuttal from the club. For something to be removed, typically means the club have told him off the record it's factually inaccurate and backed it up somehow.

Given the form that we finished the previous season in, most of them predicted mid-table. Percy was lampooned for suggesting that the only thing we'd come out with was the wooden spoon.
