This is probably  the worst man utd team in a decade.

This is probably the worst city team in a decade.

On paper we have a chance.

If Ruud shows some bo11ox, we can get a result.

Man utd 3

City 0

Manchester Utd 2-3 Leicester City

2 nil down and Monga and Evans brace

It's more likely they won't get any minutes tonight, which would be a shame

I think Ruud will go as full strength as he can here.  A lot of you are thinking of this as a bit of a free hit, try new formations, new players etc.  But rightly or wrongly, Ruud will be thinking of himself here.  Man Utd are currently going backwards under Amorim, their best period this season came under Ruud. Largely at our expense.  His thinking will be that if he can get the better of Amorim here then if Ineos pull the plug on his appointment then Ruud might get another shot at the job, at least in the short term, either during this season or in the summer.

That might be flawed thinking, or it may be pretty logical.  It's certainly not outside the realms of possibility.

Feel for Monga already, first poor touch and some will meltdown.

Don’t expect too much…physically still miles off it (as you would expect from a 15 year old playing against men)

Give them a chance surely they can't be any worse with what we have now

All for giving a chance and would love him to burst onto the scene, but you will get what I’m saying if he makes it on the pitch at some stage tonight to see yourself.

Will be a great talent, but simply a boy playing against men

It only makes sense to try new formations if the plan is to actually use them in the PL. Personally don't see the sense in just giving a different formation a go for the sake of it. Try 5 at the back if we genuinely think its something we want to do. Otherwise use the time to work on patterns of play and general play issues we need to work on. I do think its worthwhile putting academy players in as long as they fit the formation Ruud wants to play.

Playing the same way we have will mean we lose the game with ease this is exactly the game to be trying to find a solution to stay up.

keep playing how we have and we are 100% going down just try something different ffs

What we are doing currently is not working so it  absolutely make sense to try and change something

If it's Faes and Vesty as CB pairing in a back 4 Ruud may aswell walk home as far as I'm concerned.

Actually he could walk home in Cheshire and stay there !

Anything less than a three goals or more loss will be a surprise

It'll be the usual. Man U do absolutely nothing, xG of about 0.001.... but score a worldie after 10 mins and a worldie after 70 mins and top it off with an easy tap in on 80.

Only 3 after the 4 at Everton is probably the best we can expect

It's all going to click. We'll win this, surprise win against Arsenal at home, then a standard tight win against Brentford, and we're back on track

Great Escape 2, Southgate in as manager in August after Ruud’s son embarrasses the club preseason, and Premier League title next season

7/1 odds for us. This is a terrible, dysfunctional Man Utd team.

We have a chance if the lads are up for it.

I went to the 'your 90 minutes' last night and this came up (quite understandably, although a little off topic) he said they'd sold 1200.

Side note: I explained that I'm boycotting it and Jim agreed, stating that he has to run the coaches but he has refused to buy a ticket and will be sat in the car park.

He has to buy his own tickets? 🤔

Maybe this game will be like the Tottenham fa cup game of the 'great escape' season.

Got little hope...
