Be interesting to see how Cov hold their nerve. We've seen their current position go both ways previously. When you're top though the pressure is on. Lampard did it so many times as a player though.

They've beaten a lot of teams they've played so far but have a tough December. I'm pretty sure most previous winners have been in this position. I remember losing back to back under Pearson - Brighton and Sheffield Wednesday - it's all about recovering from that. A draw at Preston isn't a bad result for them and they're at home to Bristol City and Ipswich so should fancy their chances.

Coventry squad doesn't have much depth. They had 2 Goalies on the bench against Ipswich.

Couple of injuries during this busy festive period can easily throw a spanner into the works. It did for Ipswich last time in the Championship until we could strengthen in Jan.

Why do people keep saying this league lacks quality, its horrendous etc? what dont they like about it?

League's that are closely packed are better league's as its less predictable.

Just because it is close doesn't mean it doesn't lack quality.

I would love it if they ****ed it up. Absolutely love it.

Of the 4 games today, the one televised here is Hull v Wrexham.

To be fair they're all on TV.

Probably much like the Premier League this super sunday we've reached the time of the season where they have to get certain clubs quotas in/out the way.

League needs to have Ronaldo's and Messi's to be good then?  I think people have been spoilt in the past decade.

Have seen some great games this season between championship teams, lots of counter attacking, dribbling, direct etc.

Watching Southampton now compared to the start of the season is like watching a different team. Amazing the difference with a manager that can click with a squad and one that can't.

And a manager that no one has heard of. Just shows there’s options out there

Oxford fans just booed their team off for pissing around passing it across their backline when the box was loaded with added time ticking away.

Not just us then, surprised a team of their limited quality is playing w4NKy death-by-possession football - especially against a team like Preston who we know from our own experience will happily sit back and pick you off when your attention lapses.

every team plays this way in england, i've watched it being attempted in non league...it's weird, and boring as heck.

Right, but he's never managed at senior level before.  Not sure how you're supposed to just go and get someone that nobody has heard of that also has no experience and anybody to think it's a good appointment.  Essentially Saints got lucky that they booted Still and had an u21 manager to step up as interim while they were on the lookout only for him to totally change their trajectory.

It's not like it was planned.  It's like booting Cifuentes and appointing McSweeney, and then him going on to having us banging in 3 goals a game and battering sides.

My point was just that there’s others managers out there when people say who would we appoint. Nothing more than that

Louza not being called up is surprising, must be very relieved!
