They are starting to look proper leggy, thin squad aswell, shame they get a nice rest now just in time to recover and batter us in a couple of weeks

 Sheffield U v Oxford off .

Must be very bad in Yorkshire as they would have undersoil heating ?

It’s really not. Rotherham and Doncaster off as well. There’s no snow or frost to be seen and the ground isn’t even that hard (in the sense of a professional football club getting games on).

Bizaare.

It feels weird to genuinely not be looking at other games in the league and rooting for results to go a certain way to suit us. Last time, we were always looking for a Leeds/Ipswich/Southampton loss.

This season, nothing. We aren’t making the playoffs regardless so no interest in results up in that part of the league and I suspect we will scramble enough points together to be clear of danger at the other end. Points deduction could change that but we know we just need to get to say 60 points. Doesn’t really matter what others are doing.

The standard of this league is diabolical.

Agree and we are not near the top of the league. Which says a lot about our team and manager

Mate of mine lives up there. Apparently an overnight power cut didn’t help

I wonder if Frankie head is turned by another job, interesting that cov's form dips and West Ham could soon be looking for a new manager.

It would be a poor move going to West Ham

Don’t tempt fate, I would be personally keeping an eye on Norwich, Portsmouth and Blackburn, if we get a 6 point deduction we are in a relegation battle, and our spineless worms have zero fight in them!

That’s precisely why it’s pointless us changing ours

It's probably worth the gamble at this point though but I wouldn't count on us suddenly becoming a better team this season just because we change the manager.

Preston doing well. Could we get their manager?

Very well organised, press well and keep things simple. Thoroughly deserved the win today.

Bearing in mind they only just stayed up last season, the manager is doing a phenomenal job.

The whole club is on the up, innovative sponsorship deal with Spud Bros, made raised social media exposure, shirt sales through the roof, some clever recruitment and increasing crowds this season has shown what can be achieved if a club comes together and makes good sound decisions. Well coached, well organised and everyone playing for the badge. Given the difference in budgets and playing squad it is absolutely shameful they are 9 points ahead of us, granted we have a game in hand.

They have a tiny turnover but seem to have used the loan market very well this season. The lad who scored their first, who is on loan from Villa, especially played well today.

Tbf with our budget, wages and squad I think it is shameful that we're behind most of the teams above us in the league.

That's one for discussion on about another dozen threads on this forum though!
