Maybe not

Maamma is another young exciting talent - won player of the tournament at the recent  Under 20s World Cup .

Unfortunately probably won’t be with us long or like our other decent attacking players probably be injured soon !

Still not a good result for Ipswich, they should be doing much better this season.

Like us and southampton? Lol

Playoffs are tight so far. Lots to play for still.

To be fair it was 1-0 at 80 mins when it was abandoned before, and it was 1-0 at 80 mins today. Obviously Ipswich had an extra man for the last 10 this time, so slightly favourable result for this game, but an extra game when we're about to head into the busiest month might not be great.

Big Val certainly not happy with the officials .

Seems to be a long running issue and complaint.

About time managers start calling it out. The standard of refereeing is atrocious in this league. Inconsistent, bias, and just plain inexcusable.

Well done Blackburn manager, he's spot on. Unfortunately now he'll get a touchline ban, but more need to speak up about it.

Should have been down to 10 men, terrible decision by the ref to just give a yellow

Not having that. The bloke dived at the slightest touch. Yes a yellow offence but the other way.

Shades of Maddison's line...

Rubbish. Watch and analyse the game properly and stop writing headlines like that which you know makes fans pile on with negativity. Play like that and we'll be absolutely fine. Created numerous brilliant chances and win comfortably on another day

Also I think some of Jordan James' quotes show the thought process inside the club:

The players we have got are Premier League players and it will show. I genuinely believe that.

But do we? We have players that have played in the PL, sure. But do we have PL quality? It's only really Ricky P and Ayew who can claim that and both clearly past their best.

I’m not sure it’s the same as Maddison. It comes across as more determined and showing fight than ‘oh it’ll be fine’.

I agree about the second comment about PL quality. Maybe throwing down the challenge to his team mates to start proving themselves capable?

hmmm, lets hope this isn't clipped and plastered everywhere come the end of the season. I really believe we are more likely to get relegated than get in top 6 play-offs this season

Comes across very much as 'we'll be fine' to me.

Hmm yeah maybe. Depends on interpretation. I guess maybe I am thinking he seems like a more grounded character than Maddison. But as another post above says, it is definitely the sort of comment that could come back to bite.

And yes, nobody who thinks this team can end up in League 1 is out of their mind. We are performing like a side just above the relegation zone and a points deduction would ensure we end up in it.

Oh for sure. I'm less bothered about what the quotes say about JJ's character, personally. I'm more bothered about what the sentiment means for the overall mentality of the squad. It's potentially an innocuous comment and of course we can't know what they all think, but it kind of betrays the idea that they think 'we have a squad full of PL players' which could explain some of the lacklustre performances - an assumption that their supposed 'quality' will simply count at some point - rather than you know, actually playing and fighting for results...
