That summer and seasons turnover of players was exceptional. We were completely unrecognisable when we came back up 12 months after being relegated. Everything felt different.

I’d be extremely surprised if it doesnt happen, his agent has likely tapped us up and hes gunna get a wedge from us.

If we do Tolaj or Wareham and bring him in as a backup on a cheap short term deal I wouldn’t be furious, clearly need some depth up top

bit harsh to call Berner an unknown… didnt he play in the prem for Blackburn before he came to us?

Yes you are correct, he played about once the year before for Blackburn

Not a free but still baffles me we managed to get Tunchev in League One

Trying to keep tabs on how many you share a birthday with Ric, I have it now as Tunchev and half the youth team

around 76 appearances....and only 10 goals

hes WOEFUL at League 1 level, people even remotely suggesting it need to give their heads a wobbles, hes crap just wake up and smell the coffee on this one

rather steer clear of him

Given the fact King Power own a Belgian team and McCarron has vast experience in the country, we really should be looking in those leagues for players who's contracts have expired.

Thing is with bringing in Wintle or even Collins, is that we already currently have on the books, Winks, Skipp, Choudhury and Braybrooke. 
 

Absolutely zero links for any of those to leave. I'd imagine, until one of those leaves, we won't be announcing any incoming centre midfielders

Yeah you're probably right. It's wishful thinking on my part that maybe we'd be able to tie up some free agents quickly especially ones that seem sensible but it's certainly not in our usual modus operandi. Worryingly, the only player out of the ones currently on the books that seems saleable is Braybrooke

and saying about Daka and Ayew, for one that was championship.....how many goals has mullin got in the championship.....

there is a reason why Wrexham didnt want him in the championship....he isnt good enough for it, why did he only play 9 times for bradford from Jan and he didnt score once.....

as i said 76 games 10 goals in L1.

 

fact of the matter is, Mullin isnt good enough, if we was in L2 sure but his stats etc show....prove etc hes not good enough for us or L1, i think many of us would rather have Daka or Ayew back, as they look like messi compared to Mullin 

people are blinded by the 148app 91 goals for Wrexham, forgetting the fact....that 54 of them were in the national league.....also 26 apps and 3 goals in League 1 for wrexham.....

stats do not lie, hes frankly not what we need/want or should be looking at, hes frankly had enough chances to prove himself at L1 and hes shown time and time again hes not good enough, plain and simple

He got promoted with Cambridge from L2 and scored a bagful didn’t he, then took a step down to the National League with Wrexham for whatever reason, geography being closer to home, money, project etc. But it meant he never showed that if he could do it at that level. Then again, bag fulls at National League and L2 for Wrexham but it does seem that is his level. 

Perhaps injuries have affected him a bit. Definitely seems like the too good for L2 but not managed to really do it at L1

category.

as you said, his level is L2, he had a chance to show his wears before wrexham at tranmere(19/20) and he didnt cut it in L1 with them either only scoring 3 goals in 20 apps, didnt cut it in the season wrexham went up from L1 either(3 goals again)

hes defo not good enough for someone like us as you said,

Another potential captain option gone elsewhere. Sheff Wed also picked up Ricardo Santos, while George Johnston went to Luton.

 

Hopefully Souttar sticks around and is made captain, but if not, at this rate we’ll be signing bloody Shane Duffy.
