Anyone fancy Ayew as the number 9? He's good at holding up the ball and bringing others into play, and let's face it Vardy is offering nothing in that position.

I'm disappointed in Mavididi,  He hasn't kicked on this season. I was expecting to see him continue from last season even though the opposition would be better.

But he hasn't. When he does get to play he goes on solo runs too often instead of involving others in progressing the ball up the Pitch.

He needs to work harder at his game which we haven't seen any evidence of. Bilal has more skill in his little toe. Mav could learn a lot from him.

I wouldn't be opposed to trying him down the middle though,  Where defenders might be afraid to tackle him. Or even on the right where he can cut inside also.

However until we get Ricardo back to help ot throw in a couple of the young players it's hard to see where the next win will come from.

Yep, he’s like that 5 aside player we’ve all played with that would rather try to dribble round the entire opposition team than lay off a simple pass to an open teammate in a scoring position.

I think it’s time to try Daka.

Vardy isn’t doing it, Daka at least offers something different, pace, and pressing. He might not score, but neither will Vardy and at least it’s a change.

Also would like to see buenonotti in the team again.

Just change something Ruud!! :frusty:

We don’t need hold play, we need a press. We don’t press anywhere near well enough, and that’s because Ruud is hell bent on playing pensioners.

We couldn’t even trouble a completely depleted Arsenal side….. who looked there for the taking. This lot are going to be up for it, and aren’t depleted. They will batter us, I think we could even get properly done over here 5 or 6 nil, here.

We are at our worse when the teams are physical and like lumping good crosses. We know thats how Brentford like to play. Arsenal and Spurs seemed to back off us and tried to rely on their skill to break us down (until Arsenal just realised they needed to lump crosses into the box).

Just got to pray Brentford have an off day, which they have had a few of this season away.

They were not depleted defensively in fact they were stronger than all season - agreed limited in attack but still probably the best defence in the prem - let’s not twist the truth

They were depleted…. The question put to Arteta prior to the game was about an injury crisis, and he agreed there was one…. That was as poor an Arsenal team I’ve seen for a while, and they’ve been terrible in recent years by their standards. They offered very little at all, and any other premier league team would have beaten them. In fact, they will lose comfortably to West Ham I think.

Brentford will tear us to bits on Friday night, because they will put more into it than Arsenal did. They were there for the taking, and it was another limp attacking performance from a bunch of pensioners, as the younger attacking players sit on the bench.

Play with the same desire as we did against Arsenal we may knick it.

Which is the problem at the minute. We turn out decent performances against Man City, Man Utd had a good spell against Liverpool and did well for 80 minutes against Arsenal. Then you look at the Wolves and Everton games and the tripe we produced….

Daka having pace is an absolute myth.

Can't even stay on his feet. He's like a new born giraffe.

I haven't been going lately but i'm gonna be there Friday. Words of encouragement please.

Same as me....Live in the North East now and the only game i've been to this season was Newcastle ..........Got to go down to Leicester on Friday,so thought i might as well go...but not looking forward to it.To be honest the only reason why i'm going is to catch up with some friends sitting near me at the KP for 20 years and explain why we have not been there for a couple of seasons!

Do we have any dangerous attacking players on the bench?! I must have missed them.

There is a reason all the players on the bench are on the bench, that’s because they are all even more shit that those on the pitch maybe with the exception of Facundo.

Daka is shit, which is why a 38 year old gets in, Mavividi is greedy, shit and lazy so no space for him, the rest I can’t even begin with!

Try something different to try and create more chances attacking wise.

                    Mads

     Faes      Vesty    Okoli

Woyo                             VK

            Ndidi   Soumare

                    Bilal

          Daka       Ayew

All very nice, but Ruud doesn’t change from 4-2-3-1, so a little pointless to suggest nothing else.

What’s our best team in a 4-2-3-1 ?

Swap Ayew for Buonanotte, and play him and Khannouss in the hole behind the striker, and I'd still start Vardy over Daka.

We have 4 centre backs all more comfortable playing in a back 3. I don't like back 3s but at least try it to sort out our defensive woes.
