Gamble92 Posted 27 March 2025 Posted 27 March 2025 I want Liam Rosenior. @RedSoxUK provides me with frequent stat data at 4am in the morning. Usually after he's consumed 11 pints down New Parks Social club. The data suggests he will be a good fit. 1

Dan Posted 27 March 2025 Posted 27 March 2025 We could do a lot worse than Rosenior. Strasbourg have picked up this season under him (though they have been given a bit of a helping hand with their recruitment) and Hull have imploded without him. Not as straight forward as that, but his record is steady without being spectacular. I'd be OK with him, I think.
Guy Posted 28 March 2025 Posted 28 March 2025 Enzo had Something of a love in with Rosenior last season IIRC after we were unable to defeat them in the season, including the early season 0-1 loss to them of course and the fortuitously fought out 2-2 draw at their place. We could do worse than replace Ruud with Rosenior in the close season for sure....
Jimmy Posted 28 March 2025 Posted 28 March 2025 I'd love Liam Rosenior, I wanted him this past summer before he moved to France

winteriscoming Posted 28 March 2025 Posted 28 March 2025 I just don’t see us getting anyone who’s already at another club. We wouldn’t pay compensation for Corberan last summer so I can’t see us getting Roseinor or Rohl. I don’t want them but I think we’ll end up with either Gary O’Neil or Russell Martin. 1

Another reason that Top/Rudkin quite frankly anyone associated to LCFC wind me up. Getting the right manager AND a quality back room staff is hugely important. We do so many things on the cheap minus how much we pay the useless to55ers (playing squad) per week. 3

The thought of Ruud here for pre-season fills me with all sorts of genuine worry for our short term future. 1
LVFox Posted 28 March 2025 Posted 28 March 2025 Was undecided on Rosenoir in the summer but he's really shown improvements during the season at Strasbourg, with a really young group. Would massively tick every box for me now, especially as he showed when his hull side played us last season, he can also set a side up to defend and counter. Problem is, I don't see him leaving Strasbourg who could easily be in Europe next year, for us in the championship. 1
Claudio Fannieri Posted 28 March 2025 Posted 28 March 2025 I think Rosenior would be a great appointment and I think the lure of coming back to England with a job with a club with genuine premier league aspirations and with a world class training facility not withstanding the fact we would probably blow Strasbourg out the water in regards of financial package and transfer budget. So I think it would be a very tempting offer for him. 1
Mickyblueeyes Posted 28 March 2025 Posted 28 March 2025 Liam Rosenior is the reason Wayne Rooney has a managerial career.

It was reported ,when we recruited Enzo that we had employed a consultancy company to find a manager that fitted our required profile. I don’t know how accurate that is. 1
winteriscoming Posted 28 March 2025 Posted 28 March 2025 Not saying I’m against Roseinor or Rohl but I get the feeling we’re only interested in them because Southampton are also wanting them. It seems similar to last season with Enzo. Southampton showed interest in Enzo mid season and then we got him in the summer. Maybe I’m completely wrong but I just feel we’re just looking to see who are rivals next season are looking at.

It's partly a gut feeling that the club believes that our current problems are not of Ruud's making and that they'll want to give him a transfer window and a preseason to rebuild. But it's also partly down to the way that RVN is speaking in press conferences and the recurring reports in the Mercury etc that the club has no plans to get rid of him. I get the sense he's been told he's staying and the club is briefing journalists the same. It's not what I want - I'd prefer a fresh start. But I'd be even more depressed about our prospects with either Russell Martin or Gary O'Neil in charge than I am with RVN, which is saying something.

We love Southampton, bring in their players, bring in their chief scout, bring in their manager targets. See you soon Russell Martin
