To a young manager on the up in his career we would still be an attractive proposition especially as there will be some level of rebuild and focus on promoting some of the talented academy players coming through, which is why I think Richie Wellens, Miron Muslic or Danny Röhl would all be attainable and would jump at the opportunity but still be very progressive and ambitious appointments who offer a really high ceiling.

The problem is Top’s obsession with playing like Man City and our managers having to have some level of premier league experience means the pool we fish in is becoming smaller and less inspiring each time we need to appoint a new man.

Wouldn't bother too much with premier league  experience. We need to get our  act together  before thinking of promotion. I would be happy with any of those above ,we need a Brian Little  appointment  to shake things up abit with a young eager manager  looking to prove something.

This.

Multiple years of financial mis-management with PSR.

Stale and inactive board

Poor recruitment statregy

Not an attractive option for a decent manager

Answering to both posts…

This is why I think Van Nistelroy could stay for next season in the Championship, his reputation as an up and coming manager/coach has taken a massive hit, it’s obvious certain senior players took the piss out of him and the club didn’t help and our absolutely useless board & summer signings last year proved the point…

We will get a points deduction next season but don’t think a transfer embargo will happen, that is if we have money to spend even with the likes of Hermansen, El Khannous (our best saleable assets) Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiansen, Ndidi?, Winks, Soumare ? Daka gone & hopefully raising some money plus Ward & Iversen out of contract, not sure how long we have Ayew & Cordova Reid for but they won’t leave…

What decent up & coming manager/coach would want to leave his/her current club to come to The KP and try and sort our mess out…

I think they won't sack ruud coz they don't want to admit another mistake.

Of the managers who have been linked this is my preference:

1) Danny Rohl

2) RVN

3) Dyche

4) Martin

Think it will be Rohl.

Will Still is off the table

Personally I think he's a gamble. We could have missed out on the next big thing, or dodged an almighty hype-laden bullet.

given the club is so incredibly tight i doubt it

The compensation package halves for a Championship club, so we could be waiting for either Monday or the share to be officially transferred.

My concern with Rohl would be he's not had to manage any big name players or even flair players so far in his career, has preferred older players and could just be a survival manager we don't really know.

Brian Barry Murphy favourite for Cardiff job

Now if he’s moving out I can see Dyche and the team he brings moving in.

I think every manager comes with problems that's the problem.

I wouldn't mind RVN staying here though, if he wants to be here.

I really don’t think there’s much between Rohl and Cleverley. I wouldn’t be against Cleverley. Both finished mid table and Watford were only a point behind Sheffield Weds.

Different situations. When Cleverley leaves Watford they will still be a midtable championship/playoff hopeful team, when Rohl leaves Wednesday they will be relegated.

Is that meant to sound like an endorsement of Rohl? Because it doesn’t :sweating:

I would rather keep RVN than have Brussels. Ruud has seen first hand what players are up for a challenge and what players would make good book ends. That's if he wanted to stay, as it sounds like communication up and down the chain of command has been shockingly bad. Can't be an easy environment to work in if your own boss won't talk to you and make a decision.

Absolute waste of money to pay off RVN to then get someone like Brussel in. Give Ruud a summer to build a squad, assuming no embargo. Changing manager again and again will just lead keep leading us back to square one.

100%

But I think they are favouring player power again with Winks and Vesterguard which would be terrible.
