I can see us being all over Carrick, decent if unspectacular manager, plays good football and has a good reputation in the game, plus now he is cheap.

Some glaring issues with Carricks coaching, but I can see him being super attractive to our board. There’s worse names out there, but he wouldn’t be in my top 5

- attractive football

- promotes youth

- free

- played in the premier league golden era

 

Whenever I’ve watched boro thought they were easy on the eye. Looked to me as though the squad was not deep enough to compete

I was all for Carrick a year ago, felt he was doing a good job just didn't have the players. But this season the same issues repeated, his teams seem a bit weak mentally.

 

I can see him being an attractive option for King Power especially now hes free. There feels like one too many red flags for me.

He did well getting them out of a relegation battle but never pushed on. They were always that one team you expected more from.

Gibson is one of the best owners in the league if you’re a manager, will give you time and will back you, unfortunately he backs a lot of dead horses. I mean even karanka while ended up paying off probably got more time than he should’ve and they probably should’ve got promoted before they did
