As much as I want Rohl it worth noting that Ruud also worked for the Dutch national team and look how he did with us.

Rohl has a decent amount of experience in the league we're going in to with a fairly meh side

In an interview with Gary Lineker,  Dyche mentions his long term friend at Leicester  John Rudkin...

So of course Rudkin will want a manager who he thinks won't turn on him

its never going to end well if Rudkin and Dyche are friends

means we'll be in another Rodgers situation, where IF he does come, and has a woeful run etc, he wont get sacked for at least 6 months before he should have

The Dutch national team have been a shambles for years though

The fact we're having to wait to sack a manager due to PSR is hilarious. PSR was meant to stop clubs going bust, not to stop them carrying out normal operations

It's was alway meant to keep a cartel in charge.9

I still don't get the "can't sack Ruud because of PSR" angle.

Did we commit to him knowing we wouldn't be able to sack him? Did we spend 2/3m on Coulibaly, knowing we could have used that money to sack Ruud if needed?

£115 million pounds of loses every 3 years isn't "normal operations" though. That's £100k of loses a DAY.

100 per cent the whole ethos was designed in 2016 as they didn't want anymore Leicester City type clubs winning the prem and taking the shine off their shiny greedy 6 clubs

Yup and they literally changed the rules for defending in the summer of 2016, so a club couldn’t shit house there way to victory as easily.

This is my main sticking point with Dyche. Ideally would be better for a manager to come in and call out the current crop similar to enzo.

What managers in the past have turned on Rudkin though?

Yes, yes we did.

Remember we also had to rely on selling Tom Cannon for £10m to even get to that stage.

Shambolic.

Doesn’t matter. We shouldn’t be in this situation full stop.

If he's appointed Dyche will have to win ME over. Not giving him the benefit of the doubt. We're fans at the end of the day and he's going to be an employee on a massive salary comparable to the layman.

If he doesn't utilise Nelson/Alves/Monga and the like i'll set my stall out early!

The problem I can see is our clowns will look at last season who went up - Farke and Parker both experienced managers in the championship and believe that’s the way to go. So I can see it being Dyche. Not that I want him.

Got a feeling waiting until July will make it easier to pay comp for Rohl, for PSR reasons. But might not have to pay for him in a couple of weeks depends if they get taken over.

Rudkin and Dyche being mates is up there with most unlikely friendships.

They did academy training together… back when Rudkin did a job he was just about qualified for lol
