Sensible thing for us is an out of work manager. Dyche ticks a lot of boxes if your looking to recruit. Managed in both Championship and the Prem, experienced Championship run in races as well as prem relegation battles. Promotions from the Championship, dealt with monetary issues and lack of signings. Dealt with points deductions. Looks and sounds like he takes no crap. He makes a team competitive. I just think he might be the right guy for now to restart and rebuild. Personally as I said at the start of the year I would have gone all out for Rosenior, but that ain't happening The only sensible thing for us to do is recruit the best available candidate for the job. If that candidate happens to be in a job and we have to pay compensation to obtain him, so be it. The last thing we need is to recruit a second or third choice candidate just because he happens to be out of work. We made that mistake last summer and paid a heavy price. Popular Post Spanner73 Posted 21 June 2025 Popular Post Posted 21 June 2025 For me I'm not bothered who gets It really as it won’t make any difference to the culture currently at the club. Everything that was built under the tenure of Nigel Pearson his staff, recruitment and Vichai has been completely destroyed by an incompetent owner who clearly isn’t bothered anymore. like anything in life, what you put in, is what you get out. Same as Man Utd after Ferguson It starts from the Top Poor Owners, not interested Bad Culture Bad attitude Poor Planning Poor DOF Scattergun Approach to transfers Manager after manager after manager Its the same with us and until he sells up and leaves it won’t change Our club is rotten to the core 18

LCFCCHRIS Posted 21 June 2025 Posted 21 June 2025 (edited) We really need someone on the upwards trajectory. That’s the only thing I really want. Not someone sacked multiple times who inspires nothing. Now if that means taking a manager exceeding expectations in league one or a foreign league, so be it. Edited 21 June 2025 by LCFCCHRIS 1

I actually agree, I think Dyche wage demands will be too high and Rhol too big a buyout. I don’t think they will even be looking yet, still be in a stand off with RVN. Just opinion.
FoxinNotts Posted 21 June 2025 Posted 21 June 2025 For what it's worth, I've been told that we're trying to get Rohl, which is great, but I think we'll end up with Gerrard 🙄 1

I'm not even sure Cooper was 3rd or 4th choice last season. We're probably a better prospect this season for managers to look at us

Will1981 Posted 21 June 2025 Posted 21 June 2025 Would quite like Rohl but why would he want to come to us when multiple Bundesliga clubs want him?

Although was right with a few things last summer regarding us, he called Ayew very early on.

I have a friend of a friend who works for a football publication. He's a sub editor. He told me that Leicester and Rohl have an agreement between them. The current issue is trying to deal with Sheff Weds mad chairman. It may or may not come to anything for that reason. Take it as you will. 4

Lots of moving pieces in this type of situations, so whilst people have info which doesn’t always come to fruition ….doesnt necessarily mean the info shared was not correct at the time. I would imagine the ongoing issues at Sheff Wed add some complexity to the situation and potential negotiations as I would imagine the club have already or are very close to a material breach of contract which may well deem Rohl is freed from his contract or at least certain release clauses could be deemed as unenforceable. Jazzy_Jeff Posted 21 June 2025 Posted 21 June 2025 It wouldn’t surprise me if the EFL allowed him to break contract due to conditions at Sheff Weds. I can’t imagine you can prevent a manager from walking away when you have a 3 window transfer ban and staff not getting paid. Hopefully Di Marco is on the case.
