Says it all, really. If we go for Dyche, we'll be the laughing stock of Southampton - and most other - fans!

Didn’t realise Everton lost to Southampton twice last year ( once in the League cup).

Saints really are the softest touch, especially the last three seasons, pathetic side every time we play them. And we’ve been gutless ourselves during two of those. Makes me want Dyche even less now

well atm we dont have a shoe string do we,

we need a manager who will given the YTS lad a go, whos worked in that area etc

and im not just talking about 5 mins here and there either

Considering we’ve had to wait until the 1st of July until sacking our gaffer I don’t think we’ve got a bottomless pit of dollar to work with. No we need a manager who will get us promoted

Very happy if we get Dyche should be top of the list in my opinion, he’s one of the few people with experience and he won’t take any shit. We need someone who is also going to help the club through this mess which is why we need an older head here. No point in gambling on a up and coming manager.

yeah i dont think that will be happening this season

the club has made a massive mess and frankly dont deserve to go up unless they get their shit together

the thing with the whole dyche thing, is the scattergun approach from the club, we go from a certain style of player to another then another,

just not clear sign or pathway to what the club is trying to do

I don’t think Dyche is the worse appointment but I think we could do a lot better even in the financial situation we’re in.

Like who? We can’t be paying compensation it’s not that we’ve not got the money it’s the fact we can’t spend it.

We can pay compensation from 1st July onwards - that's just over a week away.

Our owners are on the brink on bankruptcy and the club has been hemorrhaging money for years  and you think appointing one of the best managers at working with a shoe string makes no sense?

Apparently, Rohl has been working well with a shoe string, and worse with more difficult owners.

Not much can be worse than our owners. Just look how they are treating Ruud

Rohl would be my ideal pick yeah, think he’s proved he’s got everything we need. Dyche has the better pedigree but i think rohl is the package that’ll please the whole fanbase. My only concern with rohl is I could see a repeat like the Maresca situation, no idea how a Brentford or whatever aren’t looking at him

Really ? I bet most fans in the ground have hardly heard of him or know who he is.. Dyche would be the one to please the fan base as most know what he's about and what hes done previously.

I don't think there is any manager that will please the entire Fanbase that we will realistically appoint.

Of course not but Dyche would be given more leeway, a lot of the fans didn't really take to Enzo for whatever reason likely it will be the same with Rohl over Dyche.

if they havent heard of him then its frankly their own problem, as his Wednesday team should have beaten us at their place,

also shows a complete lack of looking at anything beyond the end of their nose

on dyche, im neither here nor there if we get him, hes not me 1st,2nd or 3rd choice, but if he comes in ill support him until otherwise

and as for saying it will please the fanbase, thats not true, fans will accept that hes the manager but wont be overly pleased to get him

kinda like the Cooper appointment

and what hes about and done previous, yeah but that was a good number of years ago with burnley,

in recent times hes not got a glowing record

Makes absolutely no sense if this transpires. Dyche will be boring and we'll score less goals and win less games than under Enzo. This fanbase is backwards!

I don't think Dyche would be given much leeway at all. A large chunk of the fanbase will absolutely hate the appointment if if happens and will turn on him very quickly if he doesn't deliver. If we didn't make a good start under him, it would become toxic very quickly. I think there would be more good will towards Rohl because he's a bit of an unknown quantity and has less baggage.

errr sorry no, he'll be given the same as every other manager before from most fans, i didnt hear fans moaning when we was winning under Enzo, but then again some of our fans like the hoof and chase type of football

but given hes good friends with Rudkin he'll get more time higher up wise which frankly isnt right either

I doubt it Dyche will be seen as safe pair of hands to most in the stadium, you didn't hear fans moaning when we was winning under Enzo ? what do you mean as most people wanted him gone, pretty sure there was no support for him even though we won the league.

I would want Rohl, just saying the fans will be more than happy if we get Dyche.. apart from a handful.. we won the league under Enzo and most fans wanted him gone. so yes the fan base is backwards but they will give Dyche the benefit of the doubt over someone like Rohl.

safe pair of hands, like the safe pair of hands who had been fighting against the tide at everton season after season even with new recruits and when Moyes comes in turns then into something decent;

yeah they was, but im pretty sure the moaning was because Enzo wasnt adapting, most people DIDNT want him gone, they wanted him to change it up

but i guess some fans are just seeing small and not the whole in terms of dyche;

It won’t happen but look abroad.
Jess Thorup is who I’d like us to get. Readily available and has a history of developing young players.
As well as these also being readily available.
Paolo Vanoli

Rafaelle Palladino

Kasper Hjulmand

Bo Svensson

Imanol Alguacil

We don’t have to limit ourselves to this country.
