if it is Dyche then frankly we wont be seeing much flare from the like of Mav or Fatawu

and i doubt the likes of Evans, Aluko and even Monga get much of a look in

and equally we will be hearing alot from flair. @Ric Flair ;)

thing is with that article is doesnt say a thing we didnt already know either, it says Dyche is a strong favourite

Martin was at one point

im not reading too much into things atm, all we know is RVN is going

and the club have a massive lack of direction if they go for Dyche

going from one style of manager to another then another

this club is nothing but a benny hill theme tune at this point

I will never get the dyche love in

Totally agree.

I think that people have made an assumption that under Dyche, he would weed out the lazy, disinterested dossers that are plaguing our squad.

Not a big fan of him but unlike Ruud, at least he’s a proper manager rather than one who wouldn’t be anywhere near a managerial position if he wasn’t such a good footballer back in the day.

Genuinely, still can’t think of one pattern of play that Ruud tried creating whilst here.

Genuinely think our rivals would rather we hire Dyche than Rohl.
Majority of the sides who’ve changed coach in the championship have gone for young hungry managers. Still, Mason and Manning spring to mind.
I still don’t think it’ll be Dyche or Rohl.

Here is the Nixon story from the Sun - RvN to leave in the next accounting period:

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/35511150/leicester-sack-ruud-van-nistelrooy-wait-replacement/

Mentions Dyche being lined up but the article doesn’t really commit to it, just says the different parties are waiting to find out the points punishment.

Load of slop really.

Yeah, I’m done for the foreseeable if we do bring Dyche in.

It isn’t even that Dyche is a bad manager, because objectively he isn’t. But what he is, is a football dinosaur and it would just be a totally underwhelming appointment. It would just sum up the decision makers though, going from someone like Maresca to Cooper to RVN to Dyche, just shows no consistency or philosophy at all.

I really hope we don’t go for him.

Personally I think it will be Dyche. Leicester will just never pay the compo. They will think that have saved money and end up giving Dyche that in wages anyway. I wouldn’t be happy with Dyche I think his methods are fading, and he hasn’t moved on.

And we've seen flair from this team when? Look at it under Maresca; Fatawu was effectively a wingback at times and whoever played wide was primarily asked to defend as part a structure; the offensive side of the game came second. This was a manager who described football as being like chess, so hardly the setup for players to express themselves.

Sadly, it's a modern football thing where wingers are petrified to express themselves or play outside of the team shape.

Yes, that’s very plausible. And if it IS 4), you’d have to assume the preferred choice is Rohl  (why bother even pursuing him if our number one target is Dyche, who is a free agent and could start tomorrow?). In which case we’re once again in the position of having a preferred choice who we’d have to pay compensation for and a back-up option who is available for free. It makes you wonder whether they’ve learned a lesson from last summer….

Yes, but that’s life and indeed football ‘business’ in a nutshell.

The person you ideally want - be it player or manager - may not be available for the fee/wages you want and so compromises have to be made.

I have this same dilemma when shopping in Tesco’s.

Do I get home brand chocolate - which does the job, but feels a bit meh?

Do I go for a solid, dependable Cadbury’s bar - even if they do leave a glass half full?

Or do I go balls to the walls and splash out on the outrageously lavish Lindt chocolate balls, the European top tier confectionery - knowing full well it will be delightful in the immediacy, but that it could contribute to a horrible PSR style hangover in my account further down the line.

Anyway… if you actually read all this garbage, apologies… but I’ve typed it out so I’m hitting submit!

What is the like hood of us paying for Rohl?

Surely if we sold say Coady or Soumare this would give us the funds 🤷🏻‍♂️

we did see flair from Mav and Fatawu that season tbf(i cant remember when since this season has totally fried my head). they wont mindlessly crossing the ball in all the time like we have seen with Dyche's teams

Sorry, let me rephrase it. There was very little chance for them to display any flair but they did indeed show flair on very rare occasion. Fatawu constantly crosses the ball as that's part of his game anyway.

Appointing Dyche is barley going to change the needle in how much players are allowed to express themselves. It's a symptom of modern football but people just have this lazy idea that a British manager equals no creativity whereas a foreign manager will bring loads of excitement. Not denying that a Dyche team could be hard to watch but i think we're a great case study to prove that British or foreign manager, if you've got bad players and even worse ability from a manager to convey their ideas, you're going to watch crap football.

If Dyche comes in, I will be very surprised if he plays the likes of Monga and Evans. He may give Alves a go with him being a little older, but I can't see Dyche going down the road of playing the youngsters.

He will want championship experience, physicality and lots of it.

A million miles away from Tops apparent obsession with playing the Pep way too.

For what it’s worth I’ve heard via someone that knows Ian Woan that he and Dyche had an initial discussion with us about the job but decided against taking it. Let’s see what July brings.

Right, so our board is looking at Rohl and Dyche at the same time?

Just confirms to me they're utterly clueless, two coaches who couldn't be more different from each other. Our board genuinely doesn't know what they want themselves.

Don't get me wrong Dyche would give us a good chance of promotion and survival if we got promoted jus think Rohl has that x-factor similar to Enzo and Chrissy Powel would be joining the team which I am sure he worked under Pearson at one point, worth paying the combo. R/R
