With no big lump up front, no hard men at the back and with a squad and youth system built around a possession game and players that absolutely don’t fit Dyche’s system, it makes absolutely NO sense to give him the job….

……So he’ll get the job 🥴

If he is appointed I can definitely see us changing the squad towards Dyche-ball and then once he leaves switching back to Enzo-ball and the squad needing a massive overhaul again

Cannot trust Rudkin and Top to agree on one style of football and stick to it

Dyche now favourite according to the Sun & Nixon

REMOVAL VAN Leicester to SACK Ruud van Nistelrooy but will wait weeks to swing axe with Prem cult hero lined up as replacement
Former Prem boss lined up as favourite to replace Dutchman
Alan Nixon

LEICESTER CITY will FINALLY sack Ruud van Nistelrooy at the start of next month.

The Dutchman’s time will be up when the Foxes enter their next football ‘accounting’ period.

Van Nistelrooy’s fate has been assured for weeks and Leicester have looked at replacements.

But because of the cost of sacking him it has been delayed.

Leicester dismissed Steve Cooper after just 12 Premier League games in charge back in November with the Foxes 16th in the table - and clear of the relegation zone.

Van Nistelrooy, 48, came in but endured a nightmare campaign which included a run of 17 defeats from 19 matches.

Leicester also managed to go nine home top-flight matches in a row without scoring a single goal - and losing all nine.

Van Nistelrooy remained in post until the end of the season and insisted there had been no discussions about his future right up to the final game - despite relegation being confirmed on April 20.

More than two months later, and now just seven weeks until the start of the 2025-26 Championship campaign, there has been zero communication from the club on the managerial situation, leaving fans furious.

But SunSport understands the King Power side have decided to axe Van Nistelrooy.

However, they are waiting until after June 30 so that there are not two managerial sackings and pay-offs in the same financial year.

Leicester are still anxiously waiting on the points penalty they will pick up for past financial offences.

But they hope to find a boss willing to take on that handicap.

Sean Dyche is strong favourite, as we revealed, as all parties wait to find out how many points will be docked.

There will also be a restricted budget but that should not put off Dyche, 53, either.

How up to date is that as the next favourite looks to be Russell Martin?

thats what I dont think some of our fans who want Dyche dont seem to understand, for a good number of years we've got players/managers thru the door who play a certain style etc

most successful club dont change their style with every single manager/players

its so incredibly short minded if its dyche, still no reasons as to why some of our fans would want dyche either....

The fact we're having to wait to sack a manager due to PSR is hilarious. PSR was meant to stop clubs going bust, not to stop them carrying out normal operations

Ironic given King Power are managing to go bust regardless

Doesn't matter really, even an old telephone box is likely to score more than Daka or Ayew!

Those are the up to date odds from that source (Bettingodds.com), but you're right, Martin is the next (4th) in the betting (8/1) - great value!

Bet Victor - a far more reliable source for odds - have got Gary O'Neil, 4th in the betting (10/1).

Apparently to some on here we can't fail with the squad we have at present ... forgetting Daka couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo and the other struggles to remain upright .... scary

I would guess, the only reason Dyche and Rohl have swapped places in the betting in the last 18 hours (Rohl was 1/2 favourite yesterday evening, with Dyche 6/4) was because of Nixon and the article in today's Sun. However, as so many have said on this thread, Nixon is just rehashing the old report about Rudkin & Dyche being mates and restating that he would probably be a (not necessarily, the) major candidate. It's not gospel, or even based on any more up to date info that might have been put out.

In fact, the most recent (semi) informed report, was via Alex Crook on Talksport on Friday, that Rohl was as much on the mix as Dyche - partly confirming what FoxinNotts has said.

In an interview with Gary Lineker,  Dyche mentions his long term friend at Leicester  John Rudkin...

So of course Rudkin will want a manager who he thinks won't turn on him

Rudkin & Dyche = Brent & Finchy

Martin is fourth favourite at 8/1 - but they're giving him that price as the current Manager of Rangers! In other words, to get the boot there and then, come to us!

Whats Ashley Barnes up to these days anyway? Wonder if he still looks like he cuts his hair with a knife and fork

Fancy that hiring Dyche will set us back a couple of years at least.

Squad make up will definitely veer more toward experienced yo-yo merchants rather than younger players with a higher ceiling.

People are not going to like my answer.....

but my 'realistic' choice would Rafa Benitez or Mark Robins

Rafa is a dinosaur now. He's in the past. Robins did really well at Cov, but I think it was a case it worked well for him there and not at others. Same as Pearson for us.

So the short answer is...how about nooooo lol
