Wow. Talk about trying to find extra meaning when it is not there and doing absolute gymnastics to be offended.

You could use the helicopter tragedy to give the family a free pass for eternity at that stadium.

Your numerous posts in this thread campaigning against the message show your hand. It’s now pretty desperate to play this card.

I’m not playing cards.  It’s just been on my mind today and I’ve had various thoughts about it.

Just checking what part of the west stand you sit in with your flask mate.

That's just not possible, I'm going to have to question my support of the plane if true.

Big if true.

Come on. Whilst PRS is a problem Top's hands are far from tied. He just doesn't seem to want to do anything about anything.  He's the owner of the club he could make decisions which have nothing to do with finance which would clearly be beneficial to the club. We're going to be relegated for the 2nd time in three seasons, the squad is a complete mess, the manager is useless, the DOF is clearly not up to the job, the recruitment team is quite obviously failing to recruit the right type and quality of player required. Off field revenue streams are insufficient, the CEO, who has done good things in the past is now past their sell by date frankly.

The players have too much power and are on ridiculous contracts and we've failed to sell on a lot of talent which cost a lot of money and raised zero for them. There looks to be a lack of respect for the club, the manager and a general bad atmosphere around the club.

A great deal of this could be tackled if the owner grew some balls and had the courage to change the way the club is run from top to bottom. We've lost a lot of talented people from within the recruitment team and the fitness team. We're basically rudderless drifting along out of control. Too many bad decisions have been made by the same people over and over again yet nothing happens to them.

It isn't all about money. It is about the direction and identity of the club, proper engagement with the fans, admitting mistakes have been made, learning from them and making decisions based on what you learn. there was a time, not so long ago, when we were held up as a shining example of what could happen when a club is well run from top to bottom. Now we've lost our sense of identity as a club both on and off the pitch and we've become a laughing stock with some of the media, a club dependent upon clever legal representation rather than sound and inspiring management.

That was sensational. This is the exact point.
It’s not about the money he, as a billionaire, has put in to paper over the cracks.
This is about exposing those cracks that have run deep over the last few years to the point of us looking fragile and pathetic in all departments.

No one actually thinks a ‘King Power Out’ banner will cause him to pack his bags. But, at the very least, it should embarrass him and piss him off to make some kind of change.

Judging by the anger the generated image has created on both Facebook pages that have posted it, it'd be too late to change the message anyway. I'm sure some of national pages will pick up on it  now. Fair play for organising it @ozvaldo, I supported the original message, shame no poll was added.

The entire footballing country will use this to beat us as ‘ungrateful Leicester fans’

Flying a banner over the ground saying out to the owners that gave us the Premier League title and our first ever FA cup.

I know the reality is more nuanced than that, but that will be the narrative in the public perception when we fly a ‘King Power out’ banner over the ground.

Highlighting that it's an aircraft and somehow linking it to the helicopter crash is just a last ditch gaslight attempt by happy clappers who will no doubt boo the plan going overhead.

Those kind of fans will no doubt renew their west stand season ticket next season and sit there silent, apart from to groan a misplaced pass, or to take a sip of their Bovril flask.

I don’t take a clapper, I don’t sit in the west stand, and I don’t sip Bovril.
I think the banner is in poor taste.
You don’t have to agree with me.

Exactly, well embarassing...

One of my favourite King Power myths, this.

We had literally just lost in the play-off semi-final when they bought the club. We were a penalty shoot out and 90 minutes at Wembley away from the Premier League!

KPFC seem to talk like we were bought by King Power when Mandaric bought the club and it was on its knees.

It wasn’t. It was on an upwards trajectory.

Correct, if Steve Howard wasn't suspended for the 1st leg against Cardiff I'm convinced we would have won and turned over Palace at Wembley.

King Power came in and actually took us 2 steps backwards, chucking money at Sousa and Sven which saw us nearer the bottom 3 than the top 2. It was only the Birch suggesting bringing back Nige which got us back on the path to success. He and his team deserve 90% of the plaudits of where we got to, any billionaire can chuck money at things, it takes someone with skill and knowhow to translate that into success. Look at Chelsea for a case in point under Boehly.

Saying that, I still think something more nuanced than just 'King Power Out' is needed but that decision has seemingly already been taken. A light needs to be shone on everything at the club, owner, Rudkin & Whelan, Ticketing, Scouting, Manager, Players, Annoying bastard over the tannoy, dodgy gambling deals, safe standing fiasco, the list goes on. Putting all of that on 1 mans door (he is now the owner not KP) almost gives everything else a free pass.

Exactly, it is nuanced and the message should reflect that.

'King Power Out' is shooting your load way too early in a 'change' campaign. Have a ganders at Kotter's 8 Steps for Leading Change.

Few thoughts on the last couple of pages…

This plane being disrespectful stuff I strongly disagree with. As said, it’s a different method of aircraft but more so, Top uses a plane regularly.

The rubbish about we only got to the PL because of them. See @Freeman's Wharfer and @Hirsty The Blue 94’s posts just above. They speak sense, the argument we’d have never got promoted without them is nonsense and completely disrespects Nigel and the work he had already done towards getting us there. As Hirsty says, we actually took 2 steps back and took longer to get there due to KP decisions on management.

People hiding behind direct messages to send @ozvaldo abusive messages. Grow up. You deserve outing whoever you are. At least he is trying to do something.

That said, most of the debate on this thread apart from those making stupid comments like the point about KP being responsible for getting us into the PL, have been healthy and supportive of the plan and debate around the message itself shouldn’t get mixed up with not wanting the action to happen or backing the KPFC happy clappers. I do personally agree that the KP out message could risk missing the mark and liked the rotten from top to bottom idea.

On the whole “fans of other clubs will take the piss” etc.

Why do we care what fans of OTHER clubs think? We’re protesting about OUR club - for me I couldn’t care less about outside perception as what we do really doesn’t affect them.

For what it’s worth, I can see both sides of the debate in terms of exact message. However, I’m happy to back KP out as I’m almost entirely certain that it won’t cause them to leave, but will get under Top’s skin, something the other messaging wouldn’t do in the same way.

I don’t think anyone in their right mind believes Top will see/hear about the plane banner and put us on the market on the Monday morning.

What it will do (and has done) though is create the debate about the ownership and who really is to blame.

It’s absolutely fine for these Facebook groups to be laying the blame on Rudkin, but who employs him? Who could fire him?

Why do people agree that the club is in a complete mess, yet still hang on to this hope that Top will all of a sudden change his ways and become proactive here, something he hasn’t done in 7 ish years?

It’s at least getting people talking.

You don’t have to agree with me.

What element of it do you feel is in poor taste? Is it the banner, or the fact aviation is the method of deploying the message?

If they hate planes flying over they're gonna have a bit of a shock when they realise the TV companies fly drones over the stadium too...
