Blackpool away, Feb 2008, Dickov scored 90th minute for them to win 2-1.  Freezing, and wind coming in off the North Sea, temporary stand with no roof.

I don't remember it being that cold.   But the wind was terrible and badly affected the game.

Blackpool had cleared, but hadn't yet rebuilt their South Stand.   So there was nothing to block the Southerly/South-Westerly wind.   The game was horrendously affected by the strong wind.   And for good measure, they scored a last minute winner.    Ah great days .....

The loss against Huddersfield in the FA Cup 4th round replay in 2013. My legs were so cold I struggled to walk for about 10 minutes after the game.

This was the game I was referring to too.

Does anyone remember the bizarre story from the early 80s when we had a player on loan, when we were playing at Brighton (I think)? He was subbed off at half-time and a rumour went around our end saying the players had had a bath to thaw out during the break and his toe had fallen off. 🤣🤣

Still to this day I'll never understand how this game went ahead regardless of it being on Sky.

I managed to get to it from outside the city but it definitely should have been called off. Mainly due to the fact local radio were actively telling fans not to come to the ground.

Still think that was the main reason was that rather than the actual conditions. Wasn't bad enough to stop 20,000 people going.

Coalville gets hit one of the worst in the county from snow. I remember a lorry had overturned at J22 roundabout which stopped a lot of folk from that way making it

Hull away in December 2007, year we got relegated and they got promoted. We lost 2-0 in December. It was absolutely baltic. Truly awful, got to be about the worst away I've ever done.

That was the last day of my stag do and I remember just wanting to cry I was so cold and hungover. Didn't even go the game, was shivering on a bus back from up north wishing I could just pass away peacefully there and then 😂😂😂

That was one of the lowest away turnouts in modern times.    It was quoted as 314 away fans.    I've never seen a lower quoted number for a competitive away match.

(the LCFC programme used to quote away attendances from about 2002, until some time ago.)
