From the worst ever player saying he’s leaving yesterday to the Greatest! JV9 is a legend and has given me so so many moments in my life that I will never forget! West Brom away, Liverpool at home to Blackburn away last season. All those moments get the hairs on the back of your neck standing up.

Gutted for him that it’s ended with such a dogshit season but what a career he has had at Leicester!

If you haven't got a ticket to Ipswich i would get one now. Tickets are going really fast

And the cynical side of me says this was the clubs intention given that attendance was likely to fall off a cliff otherwise

I know Chelsea, Villa, Birmingham, Brighton and Wolves fans who are gutted, a few said they can't imagine how we feel.

Just listening to Peter Schmeichal and he said how sad he is to see what has happened at Leicester and how some people need to take a long hard look at themselves (hinted at the board)

Yep i heard this as well - definitely means Top. Simon J saying we should be grateful for the years we have had and that we are naturally a championship club or words to that effect, he is still raging we got away with the points deduction.

Wish he’d gone last season. This is gutting.

Yea he should have gone out on a high, instead of this total embarrassment of a season. Another reason not to let these clowns off lightly…

And what are Crystal Palace then? Absolute joke, in the natural order of things we are way bigger than Palace. Twat!

Not many players give you memories to last a lifetime. This man has given us a whole catalogue of them. I'll never stop talking about the bloke for as long as I live

Probably already had offers and the club couldn’t match was others prepared to pay. Logically he wouldn’t want to end his career on the back of all these terrible records

Yeah I suppose.

But if they've got a soft spot for the US, he could probably make a good wedge doing a year or two in the MLS. He's apparently pretty popular over there right?

Ngl I'd find it hilarious watching Vardy score a Messi assisted goal.

He's known by everyone who follows the PL...a mention of Leicester to a casual fan usually turns into a Vardy discussion. MLS just isn't huge over here. Sure, Messi moves the needle, but their TV deal with Apple is garbage, so airtime is limited. Salary won't be an issue- Vardy is enough of a name that he can be exempted from a team's salary cap structure (known as the Designated Player). The question is, which team holds his discovery rights, and if it's a small market team, will MLS force them to sell/hand over the rights to a Miami or Los Angeles-type market.

One note- De Bruyne's rights are held by Miami, who are already maxed out on Designated Players (Messi, Busquets, and Jordi Alba). If he goes to MLS, with the current rules, I can't see it being Miami.

Really feels like the end of an era now, not just Vardy leaving but the club as a whole.

As bad as it sounds I could honestly call it a day. Been through every emotion possible with this club and i don't think any of them could be matched again. It's not just a Leicester thing but my interest in football in general is seriously dwindling

Delighted I got to see him play in the flesh, his story is remarkable. Gutted to be honest even though the time is right for him and us to move on; I look forward to seeing where he plays next season.

Given where he came from, he's a once in lifetime, the best player I ever saw at Leicester, absolute Legend if anyone deserved to win a title Vardy was that player and a true example to any young player that if you determined enough you can be a success even when people knock you down.

Not just young or in sport. Pretty much an example to anyone that you can start at any point in life and still make it.
