'Clarify exit details'? Does that mean we have to contribute to his wages?

I assume it's a slightly lost-in-translation way of saying he's just tying up paperwork here.

Choudhury, BEK, Alves and potentially Braybrooke and Golding as well.

True.

Although, don’t think Braybrooke and Golding are fancied and both probably need L1/ L2 loans this season if they’re going to make it.

Think Marti sees Hamza as more of a RB, and think it suits his skillset better.

And Alves, BEK and Page have been used more advanced in the 10 position so far.

So think we still need another 8/ box to box midfielder.

It'd be low down on my list of priorities, if we can get a tune out of Skipp or Soumare as an 8, I'd rather their massive wages contribute on the pitch rather than the bench!

I think he likes Choudhury and I personally think he’s a top end player in this league. Especially in the style the manager plays

Smart deal all round.

He was available on a free last year. He's just been relegated, he has injury issues and his form isn't anywhere near what it was. And now someone is willing to pay £9mil for him.

Smart deal for us but no wonder football is in such a mess.

@Ric Flair You must be pleasantly surprised as you were pessimistic this deal would happen.

Looks like Dorsett is back to relying on secondary/tertiary sources, and the Turkish press were more accurate on this.

Have to get a replacement in surely. Winks/ Soumaré/ Skipp isn’t enough for the championship. Hoping for a more mobile box to box player in his place…

- Brownhill on a free

- Charlie Savage

- Sverre Nypan on loan from Man City

- Tony Collyer on loan from Man Utd

- Trey Nyoni even, back on loan from Lpool?

From what I understand from @ramadaone, we're not dealing with Liverpool after the way they handled the Nyoni situation.

Nypan would be an incredible signing, we wanted Collyer the previous season as well.

If we get rid of Faes, Soumare and either Winks or Skipp this could be a dream transfer window, even if we bring no one in for big money. Club needs to get back to the real world financially, even if it means staying in the Championship for a couple of seasons. Free transfers, giving the kids a chance ,loans and shorter contracts are the way forward.

Not a bad fee considering he could have gone for free last summer. Must be the only good thing we did last summer window.

I bet between the new sign on/agent fees and his wages for the year has cost a large amount of that though so it’s not that good. Probably a minimal surplus on the PSR after all that is removed.

If we stay in the championship for 2 years we may never get out.

Yes I am pleasantly surprised if it goes through, my fear was he'd wait it out to remain in England or one of the top 5 European leagues and we'd see it not happen.

Hopefully a few more deals like this will follow, there's stuff on the table I'd imagine.

Teams like Bournemouth, Fulham and Brentford had nothing like our wage bill last season. We are paying the price for p***  poor management, needs sorting for us to move on.

Good Business for us and he’s been a solid performer since he arrived and I would say outstanding in his first couple of seasons.

You dont have the saying ‘No Wilf no Win’ given to you lightly by the fans do you?

But since the run of hamstring injuries he hasn’t been the same player.  Good luck to him!

Full redemption arc for Rudkin if this ones goes through...

I wouldn't quite go that far, there's lots of work still to be done on transfers both in and out and selling a player for the specified release clause amount isn't all that challenging once interested potential buyers have made contact.
