Dodgy as these Forest deals are, at least they’re playing the game. They realised Matt Turner is shite. They loaned him out and now they’ve sold him.

We’ve had Danny Ward doing **** all for over half a decade.

Exactly. I rather that we played the system in this manner

We are in the complete opposite field though, we have loaned out players but they are never bought probably due to the fact that their wages no other club could match, look at Soumare, Kristiansen, Ward, Coady, the list goes on and on all over 60k a week wages, who would take Danny ward on loan a league one club? thats about his level, what are they gonna put towards it 2k? I think i read somewhere on here that hamza is on 60k a week, HAMZA its frightning the wages we are giving to players.

This.  Sums the problems up at our club.  Winks 90k per week.

The only way they’ve been able to shift Turner is this strange game that’s going on between Marinakis and his friend at OL - Textor. Buying these Forest rejects at an inflated price is probably payment for the complaint letter from Forest to UEFA that forces Palace owners to buy Textor out of the shares that he’s been very keen (but unable) to offload for a while. Now Europe is threatened he’ll more likely get the shares sold to the other Palace owners and at a price that he’s happier with.

Mad isn’t it, they are just better at being corrupt.

I honestly not bothered about the 8 points deduction, they are always going to be after our blood as we beat them last time.  Hopefully now they have got us they will leave us alone now and start looking into other clubs dodgier than dodgy deals...like Forest.... there owners got it coming to him, the greek authorities are after him big time due to his involvement with gangs, organised crime and money laundering, when they get him (and they will eventually) it will all fall apart very quickly for Forest...

And also they should focus on doing Man City as they keep promising to do it but it never happens, hopefully they will be screwed too with the amount of charges and dodgy deals they have done also which are way worse than Forest.

£500m spent in 10 days in the premier league, when it opens again I expect it will rise over £1bn in a single window, we will see a new premier league transfer record and players will get wages of £355k per week yet Leicester struggle to spend 20m on players and pay the odd 70kpw without falling foul of psr.

Im just guessing it will be the maximum amount, some dude on the radio said that the maximum they can do is 8 and they will probably want to give us the maximum

The PL does not get to decide the punishment.

I think they can sey "We want this" but then the independent panel set the punishment if I understand correctly.

You do understand correctly. So far, the deductions imposed by the panel have been lower than those requested by the PL, which is unsurprising given that the panel has to listen to both sides.

I have no idea how this one will play out, but my gut feeling is that it will end up being much more complicated than some of the recent media reports would have us believe...

Absolutely not true, he did plenty in 2022/23. Rodgers playing him for most of the season got us relegated.

I have little sympathy for the board when they allowed £150m worth of players to go on a free transfer and kept Rodgers on when it was obvious change was needed but this shows what a farce PSR is:

This is just another example of complete mismanagement. It’s negligent to fail PSR and not use the loophole. Sums up KP

I’m up for some KP hate as much as the next man, but lets not act like we’re oblivious to the existence of loopholes.

I'd rather we don't sell our assets. Just manage the finances better would be my advice

What happens once you've sold your assets?

I imagine at some point Chelsea for example will buy back their women’s team, their hotel and what ever else which will be spread over a number of years in the books in much the same way as player transfers are and when the times right will be sold back again to generate an immediate lump sum injection to avoid psr issues in a continuous loop, unless of course anyone outside the top 6 tries to do it and the loop hole will be filled in but the top 6 will be advised of this well in advance so they can ensure these assets are where they need them to be.

Of course that could just be the cynic in me talking.

Simon Jordan was talking the other day about how experts are prediction the womens game to explode and be worth as much as the Mens in 10 years time...how likely that is I'm unsure but would mean Chelsea have scuppered themselves by selling the women's team now!
