People need to draw breath when they float the idea that relegation would somehow solve underlying issues and lead to a brighter future. Relegation ( the doom loop may well occur even in the championship) will be an utter disaster.

The simple fact is the infrastructure alone wouldn’t be supported from EFL 1 or EFL 2 income.

This season , to a degree, the impact of relegation from the PL has been cushioned by the club being in receipt of parachute payments but cutting wages means that save the odd exception you pay less you get players with lower ability the likelihood is that very little transfer income will be achieved before 30/6 and before anyone points to Bilal after factoring in sums of his initial fee that remains to be amortised and costs associated there will be a small accounting profit but certainly not a great sum.

Remember  LCFC have got a decent return on players over the last few years very very few players sold by EF1 /2 clubs generate much in the way of transfer fees and sadly  their decent academy players are picked off by the big boys

LCFC is structure wise a PL club. The training ground is world class but it comes at significant cost and those costs simply wouldn’t be affordable in the lower leagues.

Unless we get new owners willing to invest significant capital as League 1 and 2 are not bound to the same rules as the Championship. Birmingham pumped massive funds in last season. The issue we have is that it'll probably take administration for our owner to leave and that is not conducive with immediate prosperity under a new regime.

I'd still take that though to see a new era as I see absolutely no future under Aiyawatt any longer, sad as that maybe.

Ideally, we need to get promoted this season, but we all know that’s isn’t going to happen. The realistic target in my opinion is to stay in the championship and rebuilt from there. It will take a few seasons, but I feel more comfortable with this scenario than any other. All this is dependant on the restructure, sadly I don’t see Top selling up, the next best thing is ensuring the structure below his is strong!

It wouldn’t though. You’d have all those people still at the club but with League One football.

If we got relegated to League One surely surely even our passive fan base would wake up, revolt and hound them out

What does even 'hound them out' mean in practice? Top owns the club. Even if there was complete consensus among the fan base, you'd need activism in addition to the consensus and even then - then what? How would Top be compelled to sell up?

I take it mean organised and orchestrated revolutionary activity to oust the regime.

OK, so say the entire fanbase is in unison and takes part in protests, then what? How does that materially make Top sell the club, if he doesn't want to?

I don’t think there will ever be an example where every single fan joins in to get an owner out, and no idea what proportion is enough to force his hand. Enough people to make it so unpleasant for him that he chooses to sell is what is needed - and that is something that absolutely can happen.

Doesn't he barely come now? We would likely be more effective flying to Bangkok Airport wearing a t-shirt that had 'Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha is a twat' printed on it and start marching around the duty free shop chanting a song of the same.

It doesn’t. But it gets to a point they will give up. Look at Chansiri.

But our fans are too indoctrinated by the regime so we are a long way off that.

how much did we spend on seagrave and if sold, how much would we get for it?

It cost £100 million . The problem would be as VLC86 said who would buy it ?

There is absolutely no doubt the facilities are word class but they must cost an absolute fortune to run.

For perspective the business rates alone in 25/26 will have cost £. £1.562 million in 26/27 they go up to £ £1.747 million.

We pay Wout Faes £3m+ per year.

His wages along with many others are simply unaffordable we all know that but the drum I am banging is that about income v costs going forward.

Its difficult to cut through all the clutter but once the parachute payments are done then using some of the “ bigger”championship clubs such as Middlesbrough then you can expect a annual income of circa £40 million .
Business rates for Seagrave and King Power combined will account for around 10% of  that sort of annual income.

I think it will make the club harder to sell, ups the purchase cost as well as the running cost, I expect a new owner would be very tempted to sell it quickly after purchase as well.

I don’t think so, there’s a core section of fans who will just follow us regardless “we’re liccle Leicester city, we were in league one once you know duck”…..

There seems to be a resignation among our fanbase that a points deduction is inevitable, almost deserved, when all outcomes are still possible. De Marco might succesfully argue our case again or a points deduction could be suspended. Not many know but I don't think it's the fait accompli that some think it is. Too much forelock tugging going on.
